Thrustmaster T16000 or Saitek X52
-
Hello guys,
I´ve read a lot about these 2 hotas in the forum but I can´t get a final decision!
I´ve the oportunity to buy one of them, X52 is slightly cheaper due a promotion, but seems is not very reliable. Regard the T16000, since I don`t have rudders, the paddles in the throttle sound very attractive.
Which one do you sugest??Thanks for your opinions!!

I used an X-52 Pro for a long…long time. Never any issues–so long as you stay away from the SST.
Thanks for your opinion MorteSil!
Newbie question, what is the SST? -
The Saitek/MadCatz/Logitech programming software. Also former x52 pro owner here. Loved it. Others reported reliability issues with it. I never had those. T16000 reportedly is the slightly better stick. But… x52 has more hats than the T16000 :).
Rudders are a moot point in Falcon. I’d go with the x52 or preferably the Pro.

I “have” both.
I bought X-52 in 2009 and still running. Beside the slider and rotative on the throttle I can’t complain (although I resolved with a large dead zone). Like MorteSil I also advise to avoid the profiling program and go instead for DirectX (use SST just for the minimouse).
About the rudder I think that if you plan to fly just F-16, the rotation axe of the stick is enough.Recently I found a used Flight Pack but at the moment I have installed only pedals. Stick and throttle lay on the box for the moment: I didn’t have the same feeling I had with the X-52.
