Force feedback not working in 4.34
-
Self explainatory. Turning force feedback on the advanced control options on and off doesn’t make a difference. All effects are disabled all the time.

Do a search for “force feedback”; I saw posts about this for 4.33 too. Usually the issue is driver-related iirc.

force feedback caused crashes. Its still there in 4.34.
The trick was to rename the force feedback responsible dll.
Its in the hotlist. Link to the hotlist in my signature.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T818A using Tapatalk

The posts on your list mention directly renaming the .dll on the Windows folder. I guess that’s not what 4.34 does, since I can still use FFB elsewhere. I assume 4.34 simply cuts communication with that dll.
I’ve been looking around in the game files, the config files and the windows registry but I can’t find how to re-enable it.

For which device do you want force feedback?
The trick i mentioned is if you have a force feedback device and it causes your bms to crash on load.
If it doesn’t crash then either the driver has an issue or forcefeedback is disabled in 4.34.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T818A using Tapatalk

Nevermind. I thought you said FFB was disabled in 4.34 by default and to enable it I needed some dlls.

Bumping this topic, since the issue was not solved and there hasn’t been any new replies.
The issue is, I have a G940 and FFB worked fine in 4.33. In 4.34 doesn’t work anymore, no matter how I set the checkbox under advanced control options. The joystick’s FFB functions obviously work, since I can use them in other games. Just not in 4.34. Is there any config file I need to edit to enable it again?

I’m also interested in this. I have a Microsoft FFB2 Sidewinder and with the FFB disabled in game, I have the standard “return to center” force, with the option enabled, all forces are gone, so I guess the game is talking with the driver, but in a wrong way.

I also have this issue…… I found that SimFFB will fix it but you have to remember to run it each BMS session…https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2419366&postcount=152
