General HOTAS advice

However, the Warthog throttle is a bit useless for the F-16. I actually considered getting the Warthog stick and the X52 (just for the throttle). And afaik the Warthog (magnetic base as well) has no twist rudder, so you would need extra pedals.
I will get the X56 (except for the unlikely case that a good X65 deal pops up).
The only time you really need rudder pedals in the F-16 is on the ground, in which case the BMS Dev thoughtfully provided the Enable Roll-linked NWS option in the Setup>Controllers>Advanced>View Control. IF BMS and the F-16 is your thing you could easily disregard a rudder axis, steering the jet with X axis on your joystick.

I was just thinking about rudder inputs and “stepping on the ball” in the F-16. I don’t want to hijack the thread with a discussion about the ARI, but does the rudder input require customization during controller setup? I find there is significant rudder input allowed by the flight model, and I am wondering if I need to dial down the sensitivity of the stick rudder.

I have the T.16000M all set up now with Logic’s Target script. Now to start training all over again. Woot!

I don’t have it yet (I will recieve it in about 1 week), but I already want to ask some questions:
The microstick pushbutton and scrollwheel up/down count as buttons, right?
The driver from ftp://ftp.saitek.com/pub/software/full/X65/ is the correct one (for Win10), do I get this right? You said that the SST installer from the ftp doesn’t work, but should I try it first or should I go directly for the SST installer in Fluke’s Google Drive?
Do I need to calibrate the stick and if yes, how do I do it and is the calibration connected to the force settings?
What can JGremlin do? You said that it gives me access to the buttons past #32 without using keystrokes. Does it also give me access to the microstick without having to go into the registry (and disable the twist rudder)?
