BMS>Setup>graphics: advanced options now gone, anisotropic filtering gone
-
So this has surely to do with the port to DX11 or something along those lines.
In that sense it’s working as advertised. But… back when dinosaurs roamed the earth… we were messing with either BMS graphics settings or using driver enforced settings.
For me, using BMS settings gave me a bit more FPS with acceptable image quality. WIth driver enforced settings it was reversed: better image quality with a bit less FPS.
To use the latter, afaik, we were supposed to disable AF and Multisampling inside BMS.
Now with DX11 I’d like to go through those hoops again to find the settings that work best for my system.Multisampling is now called Antialiasing I presume (makes sense).
I assume setting it to Samples 1 and Quality 0 means “disabled”?
There is no seperate “advanced” button anymore, and therefore no way to disable anisotropic filtering.Does this matter, at all?
And in the end… is this worth my time ( )?

AF is still available. Its forced x16 as standard, but if you open the cfg file there is an option in there that is 0 this is max af x16 , you can change the 0 to other options to force x4 or x8 ect

True, found that in the manual. No way to disable it in bms though. I’ll Just try it out
