Hi all,
i just bought x52-pro and i am using BMS 4.35 update1.After reading the docs and install the hotas according to the guide, i still have a major problem to control the jet. For example my yaw axis that i use twist stick does not work. It understands input 100% immediately right and 0% left. Also the FCR antenna axis does not move at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated! -
Hi all,
i just bought x52-pro and i am using BMS 4.35 update1.After reading the docs and install the hotas according to the guide, i still have a major problem to control the jet. For example my yaw axis that i use twist stick does not work. It understands input 100% immediately right and 0% left. Also the FCR antenna axis does not move at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated!I’ll avoid quoting myself from the other thread, but basically you need to review your controller under Windows Game Controllers Properties menu (and you can refer to my Falconeer profile instructions for pics on how to get there), and review the action of that axis there where you can see what is happening. You may need to calibrate the controller, or even set deadzone(s) here, too. In the BMS Setup > Controllers > Advanced menu, you can also review the movement of any assigned axis, as well as set deadzones and saturation (how much it moves on the jet vs how far you move the controller axis).
If you poke around a bit, you might find your issue. Best wishes and I’m sure people here are happy to point you in the right directions! Cheers

Sorry I don’t have x52 so I’m not much help – but just want to say I actually disabled the stick-twist axis on my Thrustmaster. (ie. I set the rudder to ‘keyboard’)
Turns out the rudder isn’t very useful on F-16… it’s controlled by the flcs in almost all conditions. (Not sure about F-18 and other planes tho.)
I would often inadvertently apply a little twist input, which could really screw up a landing approach at just wrong moment…
The only time I was (intentionally) using rudder was after landing, if a little askew, to straighten back up to align with the runway. But a couple light taps on the keybd bindings for rudder (comma, period) are enough to solve for that.
(Even for taxiing… apparently with NWS engaged the x-axis on the stick controls the nose wheel, just like the rudder pedals do. I never knew!)
Anyway, sorry to not be of direct help – but don’t want to see lack of rudder control spoil your enjoyment of the sim!
Welcome to BMS btw … debugging and fine-tuning your hotas and key files is pretty much half the battle, in this sim.
