Shift + NUMPAD Problem - Deactivate Hotkey??
-
Hey Folks,
I recently encountered problems while playing BMS. Usually I bound the Key-Combo for “DMS Down” (=Shift + Num2) to one of my X52 controls.
Now I found out, every time I press Shift the Numpad uses the alternate functions like the Num Lock was off!
Example:
Num Lock on:
Shift + Num2 = Shift + Arrow downIt seems to be a Windows feature to automatically disabling the numeric keys on the numpad as soon as shift is pressed.
Who knows where to diasable that function? (Windows 8.1) Any solutions?
Regards
Matt

I’m also using for my TARGET-profile L_SHIFT + KP2 (equal to NUM2)…, to me it works.
Whereby it should have no konsequences what SHIFT + NUM2 does in the sim, because you are if the sim is running not in windows (if one can say so) and it is a only a key combo.BTW: Here, Linux Mint, is “the same” behavior:
NUM ON
pressing KP2 == 2
pressing SHIFT + KP2 == select downwards (e.g. text)Question:
Do you have any problems in the sim with DMS down? Or up, left, right…? -
The problem is that SHIFT+NUM2 works on the keyboard but not when I use my X52. I’m suspecting some issues with the Saitek software. Are there alternatives to Windows 8?

I think, changing the OS will not solve your problem.
And I think you better ask in the Joystick-Saitek-part? (I do not know myself with Saitek…)Greeting

when using the button in the falcon UI, (under setup), what function does it show right under the key list? (if anything).
In the end, if the Saitek software is goofing up too often for your taste, considder going the joystick DX route.

It comes up as the correct command in the controller menu of BMS!! but in-game it doesn’t do anything even though “Shift+Num2” pressed on the keyboard works !
It’s really really weird.I think I’ll try an older version of Saitek SST to test it.
