Will the Red Alert campaign work in multiplayer?

I’m very new to BMS, coming from DCS, but have been lurking for a while in here!
A friend and I want to try flying in BMS together, and I was wondering if the Red Alert campaign works in multiplayer? I note that it says “SP Red Alert” in-game - does that mean that the campaign only supports singleplayer?
We’re both from Denmark, and as such would love flying in the Baltics, you see!
