Yeah, pretty sure BMS does depend on registry to find F4. Shouldn’t be any issue with Windows 8 though. There must be BMS/Steam/Windows8 users without this problem.
I would recommend using Steam’s backup feature to make a copy of Falcon 4.0 (so you don’t have to download it again), uninstall Falcon 4.0, clean the registry completely of any old BMS and Falcon 4.0 entries. Then install Falcon 4.0 again completely with an administrator-enabled session of Steam.

same problem worked with 4.33. Any fix for this ?

Hi. I have installed Falco 4.0 Allied Force (EP-FALCON4) on my pc under Windows 10. When I try to install Falcon BMS_4.34_Setup it tells me there is no Falcon 4.0 on my pc and gives me some links to where I can bey it. Any ideas what to do. My Pc: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X, 16 Gb 3000 mhz ram, MSI X370 SLI PLUS, MSI GTX 980 ti, System SSD 225 Gb, 2 Gb Harddisk, 446 Gb PCI-E SSD, 2 Gb harddisk.
I tried installing Falcon 4.0 on harddisk and also on my System SSD. Both ways it didnt find a version of Falcon 4.0 on my Pc…… Thanks up front. -
Allied Force is not Falcon 4.0, thats the issue! Few bucks on steam for Falcon 4.0 (vanilla) and your good to install the greatest sim ever made!

I cant install ANY of the torrent download versions. I tried the d/l from Veterans Gaming and it works first time. But if I try to apply ANY of the torrent d/l updates it gives me the corrupt files error. What gives??
