TE {UPDATE) –- Air 2 Air refuelling practise Version 0.2
-
EDIT: TE apparently also works fine in Aegean Version 1.6
Aegean Air 2 Air Refuelling Practise
–- for Aegean Theater V1.5 / V1.6 —
Version 0.2Here’s an update to a little TE I created for Aegean V1.5 / 1.6 to practise Air2Air Refuelling (AAR) in. (probably not much sense in doing this with the coming update to the Aegean theater, but I’m having so much fun with the added AI flights I thought I’d share it anyway ;))
I usually fly the 6:00 strike package out of Souda (AB Ioannis Daskalogiannis), but feel free to create your own.
A variety of strike packages are targeted for the Assimi training area south of Iraklion, so make sure you hit your
Time on Target (06:11) as to not get into the way of the other flights. This can be challenging however because there’s quite a lot going on at Souda airbase, with a full-scale NATO
/ combined forces exercise going on in the area.Weather / fog settings have been changed to make them more lifelike (Thanks to tomcatz)
Version 0.2 now also includes a cool banner image
and a variety of AI flights stopping for gas at various tanker stations, so don’t be surprised if your tanker of choice is busy when you arrive
Have fun & good luck honing your AAR skills!

Hi folks,
I did a quick test of the TE both in 2d using time acceleration for a few hours and just now in 3d actually flying a mission and going to the tanker at Karpathos out of Kasteli, and apparently the TE works fine with version 1.6.
Certainly this needs more testing, but for now feel free to use the TE with the new theater version and let me know if you come across any problems like BMS crashing or any other untoward experiences.
All the best & thanks to Nikos & Eghi for the update… Kasteli really is a piece of art
