Any surefire way to remove any traces of head-tracking software?

I’ve searched this board but seem to have missed the magic, short of a system re-image, to stop BMS from thinking I have a head tracker and therefore forbidding me from using the POV hat to do the POV function! Clearly unchecking the TrackIR boxes in BMS isn’t sufficient.

Hm, I guess you’ll need to remap / reassign your POV hat buttons as well, no?
Which keyfile are you using?
All the best, Uwe

I’ve tried all the standard BMS .key sets provided with 4.33. Using “BMS - Full.key” I’ve followed the procedure in the “BMS Key File Manual” (Version BMS 4.33.0, Change 1, 08.2015) page 8-35 to the letter without success. I’ve tried using the BMS GUI which shows the POV being pressed and says there is no key binding, which should mean they perform the POV function in-game but they don’t. I’ve tried various permutations and combinations of the Warthog as 2 separate DX devices (no TARGET script, TARGET not running) as well as Morphine’s profile with his TARGET script running. Whatever I do, it seems the BMS system retains the knowledge that I once tried to use the various head trackers (FaceTrackNoIR, opentrack, free track) in BMS 4.32.
All this suggests that BMS is using something in the Windows registry or a config file to override the .key files but only when in-game, not when I’m testing using the BMS GUI.

I don’t start my Tracker software and the POV works.
I start my Tracker software and the POV is disabled as long as the Camera is receiving feedback from the reflectors or LEDS
I put my hat down out of view of the camera and the POV starts working again.
Why are YOU having trouble.
I have neither of the TIR check boxs in setup active and Z axis control, not FOV, all default.
Oh you tried using “FaceTrackNoIR, opentrack, free track”
