Serious bug (apparently)
-
hi again everyone, i was reading in the forum israeli theater and i’m not the alone that have the same problem… when i’m starting a campaign in israeli theater there’s a stuttering each 5 to 10 seconds (in my computer) i was about to buy a new graphic card because i thought that was my graphic card, but i see that isn’t the problem, this is a bug i guess. if you have the same problem report it here
-
Yes, I get this too in ITO and have posted in the thread on stuttering in the ITO forum. There’s a thread in this forum too about stuttering since U5
https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?t=15211
but as I only recently started ITO campaign I can’t say what it was like before.

yes, it’s a great theater!!! and i want to play on it

I’m using an old Nvidia GTX285 and an Nvidia EN8400GS Silent HTP 512M with a pretty new driver.
I have 4 monitors connected (1 x flight monitor (1280 x 1024) 2 x MFDs (800x600), 1 x RWR (800x600).
I also installed U5.
With this setup I get 30fps in flight. I can’t see any stuttering.
What graphic cards are you using? -
I have a G41 intel graphics card 735mb vram(integrated), and update 6
-
BMS dosen’t like integrated gfx. Some seem to work ok. But besides that they are bellow system requirements for good performance…
So remove all eyecandy and this is what u get with this hardware.
BMS as all flight sims dictate good hardware whether we like it or not…

Sebastian,
Are you using the Built-in Extractor of MFD?
I’ve just encountered this annyoing issue again, and I manage a workaround in a wiern way,
I’ve enabled PFL export with size of 1X1 (on 0,0) but it shouldn’t matter… and behold! it’s working perfectly well… -
i have disabled the shaders rendering and post-processing effects because consumes too many memory and the game run very good, the problem only is it on IT in campaign, instant action.
-
m8 I believe the problem is your hardware. sorry to say this. If u had enough “horsepower” it would be ok.
If u want also lighten up the OS and hardware resources needed. like stop not falcon needed startup programms and also running services. This might give u the juice to run it more smoothly. Also if u r on win7 64bit might be better.
Hope it helps. If u need more details feel free to ask. -
do you have all the updates? update 1,2,3,4,5, and 6? I was trying IT with update 4, stuttered like crazy, and then updated to update 5, and then it is fixed. If you have not the most recent update, I think it is worth giving it a try.
-
i have the 1,2,3,4,5,6 updates
-
I tried beta 320.49 and it stutters like hell no matter what settings I use…vsync on and off…Korea and ITO. Roll back to 306.97 and smooth as silk on any settings. ITO as well.

2xHD6970 here just tried the campaign today… 45-55 fps no stutter at all! All settings maxed out in game. Check out your hardware!

I get better fps than you all maxed out and I have a faster rig. Its nVidia drivers. 306.97 fixes everything. After that bad stutters. Its only in certain places like over Osan low in the weeds. Most of the time its ok. Not hardware. Drivers.
Edit:
Fixed it. Registry threw an error about terradata when I tried to uninstall. Cleaned up and reinstalled. Smooth as silk with 70-80 fps over busy Kunsan on 320.49 drivers.Weird how 306.97 was not affected by corrupt files.

Well i assume you got newer card than mine! I was that close of throwing out those and buying an 7990 but still is TOO expensive. I’m ok i guess though everything over 25-26 FPS the human eye cannot tell the difference anyway. I had those in Osan as well before the corssfire with a single 6970 not anymore though. And when i saying all settings maxed i really mean it Multisampling quality in 7. i dont know why though even if i have vertical refresh to off still it seems as it still works in game… anyone knows anything?

I just tried disabling “focus shadows” in the configurator (in HW > Shaders > Shader rendering > Shadow mapping) and my stuttering seems to be gone.
I also have v-sync on in drivers (off in BMS) and Max rendering = 2
I’m not sure what “focus shadows” actually means, but they’re probably not going to be missed!
-
i have disabled all the shader rendering
-
And you still have stutter?
-
yeah i have it
-
Its definitely focus shadows. It is the shadow your aircraft makes on the ground and on itself or other aircraft etc… Not a game breaker but it looks weird in exterior without them.
