Joystick buttons issue
-
I’ve been trying to get into falcon for quite a long time, but every time i do that i end up encountering this issue which leaves the game quite unplayable for me.
The stick works fine into every other game but i keep encountering this problem on BMS.
Most of the buttons on the stick stop working, only the axis is fine. If i leave the game open and go check windows’ interface to see if they’re fine, they do not register the input correctly, but as soon as i close the game, everything is back to normal.
I don’t have any idea of what could be causing this -
More info needed. Are you using Target gui/script. In Bms the warthog should register as combined.

I’m using BMS itself to set my bindings.
Just did more testing, this time with BMS running on a window so i could clearly see the HOTAS Warthog screen on Windows’ controller setup screen.
I can see my buttons flickering on and off when i’m holding them, not registering on either, but as soon as i close BMS, they start behaving normally again. And i’ve never had this issue on other games, like DCS.
I thought it could be a bad stick but it’s just on Falcon BMS so i have no idea. -
Is the device plugged into a powered USB port, directly, or into a hub? Is it just one device or both?
If you go Control Panel> Devices and Printers> Any game controller (right click, “Game controller settings”) this dialog will be: “Game Controllers” with buttons Advanced… and Properties.
Selecting “Throttle - HOTAS Warthog” and Properties button brings up “Throttle - HOTAS Warthog properties” dialog with tabs Settings and Test. Test tab has button area with red circles 1-32. Does the joystick behave normally?

Use target software. Either gui or script, set up dx buttons in target then go into key file in the Ui select command and push your dx button. It is then mapped. Run target before running bms.
