Night interior lighting
-
Hi guys I’ve been Flying F4 for a while and every now and then I pickup a Mod here on the site and apply it. My question is about nite lighting in the cockpit, What is the actual color for the front panel basic instruments (UFC controls) the right and left side panels. At present my panels show a blue(ish) green, (Aqua blue I would say) and if you add the NVG"s the number panel and master modes buttons are unreadable, more importantly the HUD is washed out and the HSI is not readable. This occurs even with the selection of nite lighting switch in night position and HUD turned down. I installed as I recall a instrument light mode in 4.32 long ago which gave me that Aqua blue color for the lights. So several questions
1. What color are the nite lights/panel (ICP) in the cockpit suppose to be in the 4.33 U2 install?
2. Would this light mode I installed in my 4.32 carry over as I now run 4.33 U2?
3. Why in the F18 are all panels readable especially the HUD and HSI with NVG’s and not in the F16?
4. Should all instruments/panels be readable at nite with NVG’s without switching between NVG and no NVG in F16?
5. If this light mode is lurking around in my present 4.33 U2 install where would I find it?

Well, if your jet has NVIS lighting then it should all be readable through NVGs. If not, then it should be washed out to the point of obscuring vision outside the cockpit and potentially damaging your eyes.
Tour 4.32 and 4.33 and 4.33.1 installs are all separate. A mod you installed for 4.32 will not be present on either your 4.33 or 4.33.1 installs.
