Finally got my x55 all programmed. Whohoo

Took about a full day of work (yes I am a rookie). I am new to the HOTAS environment, so I am looking forward to a new and exciting feature to the BMS. Next stop…TrackIR

If any of you are looking for profile that matches the bms_keystrokes_ver.1.6, I can send it to you via email.

One of the quirks that I found was programming the hat switches. Use the advanced feature and make sure to use left control/shift/alt. the right control/shift/alt keys didn’t quite work.

My take on the mapping of the X55

I’ve mostly done directx bindings where possible - that makes profiles like that almost impossible to share because joystick numbers change, right? Or is there a way?

Hi Shasta,

Does your profile work with Track IR? I do not need to use up one of the 8 way hat switches for panning the view around thus freeing up th 8 way to be used as a trim like the real F-16 HOTAS.

Or even just walk us through how you went about binding this thing? I can get BMS to recognize either the stick or the throttle but not both.
