Hello all. I’m new to BMS but not to the original Falcon 4.0 (which I’ve reinstalled in order to run BMS 4.33.3.) The directions for U1 full install and U2 update worked flawlessly. However, after downloading the U3 torrent, running it in uTorrent - I’d never done a torrent download before - made sure the downloaded file was in the setup directory as instructed, but when I run it, it right away says that the installation is complete and the only option is to close. When I do so, the original setup program does not start automatically (even though I can see in the “details view” that the execute order was issued). When I start it manually, the “Manage…” option finds the U1 and U2 installs, but no U3. It just sits there with no option but to cancel or go back to the previous screen. If I go back and choose the “Manage…” option again, same result. In the install directory’s Data folder, there’s no file marked with a “3”, so I suspect the U3 installer is corrupted (?). I did delete it and repeat the torrent download, but same result. I’m running Win10x64.

I have no experience with torrents, and wonder if I did something wrong. Could some kind soul provide me a link to the U3 installer.

      Many thanks, Ron

@razo thank you. I actually solved the issue a while after posting, but there was a long delay in my post appearing, so I thought it was moot.

There was nothing wrong with the torrent download. For future searchers, what apparently happened was that the first time I ran the U3 installer, a second “setup directory” was created within the actual BMS main install, and the U3 installer was thereafter automatically finding it instead of the original setup directory (which I keep in my downloads tree). I could only fix this by deleting that bogus setup directory altogether. Then I was able to browse within the U3 installer for the proper setup directory, and everything worked fine. Moral: double, triple check that the update patches are directed to the true setup directory, as the instructions say. Doh!

Am now at build 16068. -Ron
