Strange request I must say…
BMS core work is another thing and Community playground Modding and developing is another. Sure they communicate but I believe its clear their roles.Mods will always be there…
Not strange at all. I would understand the argument if we were talking about “mods” in the actual sense of the word. I don’t want custom skins in stock BMS, nor other stuff that merely changes facets of the game to suit someone’s personal preference. I mean things that actually increase realism. In a simulation with the ultimate goal of realism, calling a mod that gets you closer to that goal a “Community playground Modding” is doing it a disservice.
Making better LOD models is something that the BMS team has already done for some objects in BMS, why not take the work that was already done and do it for some more?
The HUD projection mod is closer to the real thing than stock BMS.
The tracer lighting mod certainly seems closer to the real deal than stock BMS.
Some AIM9 mods are closer to reality than stock BMS.
etc.
I’m just asking if it wouldn’t be rational to take the work that has already been done in order to get closer to the ideal that, I assume, the BMS team itself is shooting for? Why is that a strange request?
