Hello Falcas.
I should have posted the following question here rather than in the technical support. Thank you so much for all you work.

Hello Falcas.
I should have posted the following question here rather than in the technical support. Thank you so much for all you work.
https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?36068-Unable-to-convert-TE-from-4-33-to-4-34
Hello,
Trying to convert a TE from 4.33 to 4.34 with Mission Commander, I get this message after selecting the 4.33 .tac file I want to convert. What should I do ?
Didn’t find any discussion on the forum for that issue.
One element of context may be of interest for solving my issue : I uninstalled BMS 4.33 before installing 4.34 some days ago, and had a copy of my personal 4.33 TE somewhere else on my disk. I recently re-installed 4.33 and copied back my 4.33 TE to the campain/save folder they were originally located and then tried to convert.
Thank you for any help.
Thank you. I understand that 4.33 was not as realistic as 4.34 on the first point.
Hello BMS guys.
Thank you for all the outstanding works you’ve been doing so far. I am only an occasional player due to lack of time but each time I play is a real pleasure. Thanks also for all the technical docs. I printed them and read a little of them nearly every day.
Two questions I raise after my firts attempts to use BMS 4.34 :
when in the training mission for AGM45 in CAVOK conditions I saw that the TGP image set on my left MFD seems to ‘rotate’ regarding to the MFD frame. It seems linked to the TGP LOS relative to the aircraft axis (or to bank angle ?).
what is the symbol on the right MFD, OSB 12 ? It blanks out the MFD and all OSB seem inactive. I can revert to normal use by pressing DMS right.
I checked back on 4.33 and wasn’t able to reproduce those facts. So far, I didn’t find any description in the docs for both of them. Didn’t find anything of the forum either.
Sorry If I miss something.
Bugs ? Normal behaviour ?
Enjoy your flights.
Yann
Hi,
This is just to suggest a correction in WDP airport database for Hoensgong (runways 02 and 20 instead of 36 and 18 ). Ils freq and course to be corrected as well. Thank you for all your amazing work.
Thanks for confirming. Could a moderator move this thread to the Technical Support forum for this bug to be considered for correction in a next update ?
Enjoy your virtual flights.
You should not be able to, but if the engine is rotating fast enough, you could have enough pressure to lower the gear. I do not think the nose landing gear in BMS has to fight the air to extend. So as long as you have enough pressure on B side when you lower the landing gear handle it could work in BMS. Do you remember the pressure on Hyd system B gauge?
Hi mvsgas.
I tried again and I confirm that when hydraulic B pressure is 0 (about 1 min after engine flameout), lowering the LG with the lollipop is successful.
To be corrected ?
Hi,
During the engine flameout landing training mission, i managed to lower the LG with the lolipop handle. The engine was out. The epu was running. As the epu powers hydraulic A only and as the LG needs hydraulic B (according to manuals), this should not be possible. Did i understand something wrong ?
Hi,
On many occasions the taxi/landing light automatically switches on after landing gear is selected down. If I force it off, it comes back on a few seconds after.
Seen during the training landing mission and during a basic TE.
Checked my warthog config : it does not generate any unexpected keystroke.
Is it a new behaviour in 4.33 that I missed in the excellent doc provided ? Or a bug ?
Any idea ?
Many thanks to all of you involved in BMS development and forum animation.
EDIT : it seems linked to the runway lights being switched on by ATC when I request Autonomous Approach. When the runway lights are on, my aircraft landing light switch moves to ON. When the runway lights are off, my aircraft landing light switch accepts to stay OFF. Seems to be a bug !
One thing for the next update? Hmmm…. AI wingmen being able to perform a break and visual pattern for landing…
This is just a wish from an occasional player (usually single player). More advanced players certainly see other priorities.
Enjoy your virtual and real flights.
