If you haven’t bought yet, I’d recommend saving up a bit more for something with more buttons. A used saitek X-52 or CH fighterstick can be snagged on ebay for pretty cheap. The Thrustmaster FCS is also a pretty good hotas for a decent price! I started out on a hotas X and while it works, its really not that great of a stick, you’ll find yourself wanting to upgrade pretty quickly

RE: Be headset recomendation
At under $200 your options are essentially gonna be whatever you can scrounge up used on ebay. A lenovo explorer is not a terrible option but not a great one either. I’d highly advise saving up a bit more and raising your budget.

RE: F/A-18 HUD fix
I think its safe to assume that anything in the current implementation of the F-18 is VERY work in progress and the team is aware of what they still need to do/add. I wouldn’t stress over it too much.

RE: Customize the alt launcher
@Atlas Maybe not what you’re thinking, but a batch file (.bat) will do exactly that. As someone who’s relatively computer literate but NOT a programmer bu any stretch, I found them really easy to setup wuth some guides online.
I have Bats setup for all my different sims to get voiceattack, simshaker and whatever else a specific game might need running before launch.

RE: [VR] "My legs are small and my cockpit is tiny" fix
@SOBO-87 Yes obviously the F-15 is larger than an F-16. This is not a matter of the size of real cockpits, the scale of the cockpit does not look correct relative to the other 3d models. look at the flightstick or the Ejection seat (which btw, both aircraft uses an ACES II, so its not like one should “feel massive” compared to the other in THAT particular regard) The cockpits are not scaled properly to each other, and as a result, cannot be tweaked using SteamVR scaling without messing up the other. This will need to be fixed eventually.

RE: [VR] "My legs are small and my cockpit is tiny" fix
Just wanted to put in my 2 cents here, while the F-16 looks generally ok, the other cockpits like the F-15 seem too big. I brought my steamVR scaling back down to 100% hoping it would fix the Eagle but it still feels off. Hopefully we get some more tweaking here as the VR and 3d models get tuned!
Still, one of the best VR flight experiences out right now, and 3d really does bring attention away from some of the more dated aspects of the graphics (looking forward to seeing them updated in U4 and 4.38!!)
