I don’t see a command for HUD On… I see one for brightness up and a lot of other toggles but not one for ON.

RE: No HUD on Ramp Start
I tried that but when I click the knob in the 3D cockpit, it doesn’t turn it on. I tried it with the controller knob and wheel mouse after clicking and nothing happens.

No HUD on Ramp Start
So I did the ramp start early on after installing BMS a week or so ago. After a couple of times going through it I started skipping Ramp and going to Taxi or Takeoff. I went back to do Ramp so that I’m sure I have that down and I noticed my HUD won’t come on. Now I’ve done a bit of config between then and now but I don’t know what I’ve done to prevent the HUD from coming on. I had mapped my HUD brightness to my Z rotation axis on my Saitek X-55 and it works fine anywhere except Ramp. So I unbound it and made it my mouse wheel… Still no dice. I even mapped the turn HUD up control to a diff button on my throttle and still nothing. When I click on the HUD dial on the UFC, it doesn’t do anything. In fact, the virtual wheel doesn’t even move like it did after I first installed. So maybe the way to ask this is: What would you do to prevent the HUD from coming on or being able to adjust brightness during Ramp only. Maybe I accidentally edited a config line somewhere. I’d hate to reinstall so any help is appreciated.

RE: Fluctuating frame rates on powerful system…
Darkman:
Stock/Vanilla BMS install w/ no mods.
screens are 1080p
running in full screen mode
I haven’t done any campaigns yet (only had it a week).
Only other software running is the Saitek HUD software for my X-55, TrackIR, and my soundcard systray icon.
I went into NVidia setup and basically turned off everything or said for software to control it if that was an option, then turned everything on high in-game and it seems to be better.
Still not what I would call smooth (at least not as much as other videos I’m watching.Another problem I’m having is doing the ramp start TE, I have no hud… I have the hud brightness bound to my z axis on the throttle and it works fine if I do the TE starting at taxi or runway, but at ramp there is no hud… there was a hud the first few times I ran it but not now… weird.

RE: Fluctuating frame rates on powerful system…
I turned off/down everything in-game as a baseline and it still lagged like before so not sure it’s a video issue. I didn’t change anything in Nvidia though.

RE: Fluctuating frame rates on powerful system…
Good idea about starting low… Just frustrating that I can’t have it all full throttle when my system should handle it. I also do iRacing with no FPS issues. Really discouraged knowing I’m new and have only done flights with sunny/clear weather so far.

Fluctuating frame rates on powerful system…
I’m having wildly fluctuating FPS. Sometimes very good smooth experience but then it will get really jittery. I would think my system is plenty and this should not happen. Do I need more RAM or any other ideas? I’ve used I/Obit game booster years ago, is it still used and usefull?
