@zackbo If you absolutely do not need to access the dashboard, disabling the “VR Dashboard on System Button” setting will make it not appear when launching SteamVR. It also means your motion controllers lose the ability to open the dashboard too, if you want to play other VR titles.
Alternatively if you wish to keep that setting on, create a shortcut and input this as the target
vrmonitor://debugcommands/system_dashboard_toggleEvery time you run the shortcut it will toggle the dashboard without the need for controllers.
