Change default VR center position
-
Hi all, I searched the forum but didn’t find anything relevant…
My question…is there a way to change the default center position in VR?
When I press my center key I find that I am too aft in the cockit, so I need to move back (phisically with my seat)…center and move back forward.
Is there a way I can move and then save as new default another center position?
Thanks everyone -
Try experimenting with moving closer / away before hitting the center key.

@Bikeman that’s in his post

@S3NTRY my point is to move BEFORE hitting the center key

@Virus
The default position should be the design eye. No need to change it unless preference. -
@Bikeman that’s what I am doing but it is not handy at all
-
@Atlas yeah, and that is too far away for me…that’s why I asked if there is a way to change it.

@Virus
I’m curious, what headset are you using?
I believe there may be a way to change the eye position but this is for monitors only and IIRC the value is ignored for any headtracking so may be the same issue for VR. -

Till now I used the described technique but now I don’t have a seat with wheels anymore as I am using a simpit so I am limited In what i can do…and also sometime I need to recenter in flight and so doing that “manouver” is not so handy. -
@Virus Try to adjust set g_fVRZOOMFOV 60 in "falcon bms.cfg file. Maybe from 60 to 50?
Its at the bottom of the file, which is in “C:\Falcon BMS 4.37\User\Config” folder -
@Actionman
I don’t think FOV has anything to do with that… and the zoom FOV is only when you do the “look closer” callback. -
FoV has no bearing at all. You can use the middle mouse button and push it forward/pull back to change head position, but there is no way to save it. I tend to just slightly tilt my head up (raise my chin(s)) and recentre to get a consistent, slightly closer head position
