RE: 4.37 Screenshots
@Icarus Oh Ok, I’m not wanting to get political but I’m aware of the Shah of Iran, I believe that was pre- Ayatollah’s. I suppose that Iran acquired F-14s possibly because of the Iran-Iraq war, something like that.
I may check out the Mideast128 theatre @Hubert3000 at some point. Bit of a change from Korea

RE: 4.37 Screenshots
Cool - Interesting how Iran has or had F-14s in their air force, given how at loggerheads they have been with the US.

RE: 4.37 Screenshots
Wow this game continues to impress me, I like being able to focus on the 16 - DCS had me too spoilt for choice. Some great screenshots! Are these available in the skins section of the forums? Is there a centralised location for download somewhere on the web; I would love to try some of these.

Mouswheel zoom mucks up dial work on ramp start
Hi all,
I use a warthog stick and throttle. I was using the grey slider to the right of the throttle - the little grey one - but it’s developed some noise over the years of use and if it’s in any position at all even when not moving the zoom jitters on screen so basically it’s useless.
I’ve heard the slider is very bad in this way on the warthog and is basically to be avoided as this will eventually happen on this particular throttle.
Here are some file screenshots
Here’s the slider I’m using for zoom/fov which I had set up in alternative launcher views section axis assignment “FOV”
This is an image of the FOV axis assignment in alternative launcher “views”
When I cancel the FOV axis assignment, I’m then using trackir z axis for my head “zoom” and a command I set up on my mouse to which I think is normally “L” on the keyboard or something to zoom fully in and out.
OK! My question then is given that the mouse wheel zooms when FOV is not assigned to an axis, how do I turn off the mouse wheel zoom function altogether?
for example - the hud brightness wheel to the left of the ICP or the comm 1 and comm 2 volume, threat volume, ILS volume etc. and other dials all rely on the mouse wheel and yet it zooms if your cursor is off the dial and you happen to miss it looking at it with track ir
How do I prevent the game from doing this with the mousewheel, this only seems to occur when FOV zoom is not assigned to any axis.
I’ve seen some posts on this forum and on reddit that talk about the user config file that say you can change some of this zoom options, is that a good place to start?
Is there a way of cancelling the mouse wheel scroll as it causes the view to zoom when turning dials and that throws off my ramp start and some dials work in flight and can be a little frustrating. I imagine there may be others who’ve encountered this?
Many thanks and I hope I’ve been clear and provided enough for someone who reads this to go on.
Cheers,

I get the error when I try to configure the campaign from the launcher
BMS crashes when I launch, won’t go past the splash screen to menu

RE: Trouble assigning keyboard commands
I can confirm that when i hit a key that exists it jumps to that key and when I select the left matrix it goes blue and when i deselect.
Do I have to select a completely unbound key on my keyboard in order to bind an existing key command in the sim and replace it? in other words if A for autopilot is in use as key A I have to select an unbound key first rather than a say 1 which is already a hud mode? if so I feel very foolish and also that will take some time to change the keys to my own custom mode.
Let me know and thanks for taking the time to help

RE: Trouble assigning keyboard commands
Doesn’t seem to be the problem, my X-52 throttle is disconnected so that broken button isn’t interfering which is what I thought was causing the problem. Instead I’m using the throttle on the CH combatstick. I’m also not holding down any joystick buttons when i enter keyboard assignments either. Also I can assign axes in the advanced menu fine it’s simply keyboard bindings. When I enter a binding other than save I always click apply and when i’m done I save the configuration. I’m at a loss!
Basically I don’t have enough buttons on the joystick device/s to assign DMS up, right, down and tms up, right, down. Not enough buttons for vertical scan and boresight etc. also by default BMS seems to have the radar cursor up down etc. not assigned to the arrow keys.
anyway let me know what you think
