How do I transfer my keyboard maps to new computer?
Hi all.
I got a new computer and I want to take the file that maps my inputs with my HOTAS.
Which of the Falcon 4 files would I move to the new computer to keep everything as it has been on my old computer. (Of course I will move my HOTAS files as well). Thanks!

RE: How do I use alt, ctrl, shift functions with CH fighterstick?
Oh the drama….
Everyone that posted here was trying to help you. Turning around and saying that we’re all distasteful, immature and self-righteous was a unique response on your part – slow clap. We provided you with our opinions and in turn you shit on us.
You’re welcome.
Trying to help me? Odd.
hhmm…I asked a simple question - you did not answer it. I kindly asked you to answer the question again. Your reply? “No.”
(perhaps you should read the thread again since you have forgotten here)You want to decide what is best for me - someone you know nothing about?
By that logic, your first set of advice could have been “first buy a new computer”.My first thought was to ignore your original response, but I didn’t actually think someone was intentionally being difficult, but perhaps did not read the OP carefully, so I asked again.
See the title of this thread?: “How do I use alt, ctrl, shift functions with CH fighterstick?” Well if you genuinely feel that refusing to answer the question of a post which asks a specific question and instead give out other advice is the proper way to behave, then I apologize for my response to you.
I never thought that someone would try to “help” that way, but I guess that could be my ignorance. Perhaps you can realize that by that same logic any time anyone asks any question on the forum, you can reply - “first buy a new computer - I’m just trying to help”.The forum is made by its users…
(sorry, I have spent enough time on this thread. I shall move on. Say as you wish - you may have the last word if it pleases you)

RE: How do I use alt, ctrl, shift functions with CH fighterstick?
If you think answering a question with care as to the outcome instead of a simple fact is distasteful, you need better taste. Someone wants to tickle a polar bear which is more respectful, advice that they are dangerous animals or directions to the zoo and which fences are short? The community also has to deal with the person with noble independence coming back with “guuuuuys my profile has a problem.”
I was going to post a link to the online help but I couldn’t find it.
http://www.stickworks.com/keycodes.htm
http://www.stickworks.com/contents.htmIt’s actually a little hard to find because the CH programming is so useful and geared toward NOT doing the virtual keyboard thing that it’s hard to find the tiny part that is for that.
Only smuggles sign their forum posts with their username
FrederfNah, you guys were just being difficult.
Your example, while interesting, is not appropriate to what happened here. This is after all a “CH” forum to discuss the functions of CH gear - asking about basic functionality should not lead to this type of self righteous response. Perhaps I have been flying versions of this sim for the past 15 years and perhaps I have a finely tuned way of doing things that work for me? Who do you think you are to feel that it is your right to exert your way of doing things upon me?It was easy enough to answer the question or to keep one’s mouth shut.
If you want to live that way, that is your choice.
I believe in helping people, not being a pain in their butt. Again, giving me the simple answer and then telling me there is a better way would be the respectful thing to do.
Apparently I am asking for too much from some people. I guess I need to go ask questions elsewhere (as I did already - thus giving me the answer I was looking for). One of the first posts I make here, with just a simple question, and I get a bunch of garbage in response - nice to know what I am dealing with here.

RE: Making Buttons Act as Modifiers
For “alt” functions just type ALT
For “ctrl” functions just type CTL
For “shift” fucntions just type SHF(Looks like you can also put a R or L in front of the function (without a space) if you need to specify Left or Right)

RE: How do I use alt, ctrl, shift functions with CH fighterstick?
Wow. I certainly was not expecting a simple question to be answered with such distasteful replies.
Sad what has happened to the flight sim community over the years.
Used to be that people would help you out and answer the questions posted.Sure, I understand that people feel there is a better way to go about this, but why not answer the question and then give opinions? Withholding the answer is really immature or self righteous - I guess one can decide which they want to be.
This tiny community really should work together rather than pissing people off and driving them away. For any of those looking for the answer, I did find it out by myself.
It is quite simple.
For “alt” functions just type ALT
For “ctrl” functions just type CTL
For “shift” fucntions just type SHFI hope this allows any and all individuals to do whatever they so desire with their HOTAS programming setup.
Good luck and have fun!

RE: How do I use alt, ctrl, shift functions with CH fighterstick?
You don’t need to do it this way. Once you’re in dogfight mode, you can quickly switch to the various modes using TMS. There’s no need for fancy programming. The F-16 HOTAS is efficient… Focus on mapping your setup as closely to real as possible.
Ok, I will have to learn about that since I don’t know how to set TMS on my HOTAS.
In the mean time, can you tell me how to use alt, ctrl, shift functions with CH fighterstick?
Thanks,

How do I use alt, ctrl, shift functions with CH fighterstick?
Hi,
I want to have a one button solution to change into dogfight boresite mode.
I need the button to enter
c d ctrl F5How do I get that to work with the CH software?
I can do the “c d” no problem, but how to I add a ctrl function?
How would I do the same thing but with the alt or shift buttons instead?
c d Shift F5?
c d alt F5?Thanks!
