An improvement for stock korea city tiles
-
1 tile = 1 km
If I use half/half of a tile (half water / half land), then I have 1 km water (in the middle).
If I use 3/4 of a tile for land, then I have 1/4 for water, so 500 m water in the middle.
Have a look at the first pic in #45 (ful size) and you will recognize, that the water area, the width of the river, at the bridge side is much greater, as the other side.If I use 1/2 of the tile for water I can make “smoother” curves for the river, but it (the river) will be much wider…

BTW: The great river in Seoul is ~700m wide… -

Hi,
I’m not really happy with this “great” curves, but it depends on the radius. It would use some more tiles to get a better view, but…on to the bridges and the stadium.

Are those tiles so bad?
But, thank you Apollo… -
+1…this looks really great!

Hi,
I want you to show what work it needs…
This pdn-file (from Paint.Net) is 10000*10000, and while working on this, the processor uses nearly 100% and used RAM is ~7 GB (~5 GB only for that file)
First I wanted to save the 10000’ size as a png-file, but that would have had 139 MB!
Maybe someone finds this interesting…Greeting

Hi,
some more pics.
A first throw…
(As you can see the tiles for the harbor line are mostly only turned.)
Thsi is from the sat map…
HCOST798…
I’m now trying to ease a little (can I say so?)…
So still WIP.
I hope I’m not boring someone…Greeting

About the harbor and the cranes and the ships where it needs way much time on your behalf it would be easier if someone made those areas in 3ds max and just place them there. The cranes already exist in the database also tankers exist iirc… there are also containers nove has made some cars so the whole thing can be done perfect.
very nice work by the way!!!
