Pylon can be seen from FLAP of F/A-18F

The size of blue jets IMHO are well defined by RL data as well as weapons and their attachment on racks any pylons. Just because you feel someting dose not mean anything. Do you have any reference image about this?
Here are many. You can see even the landing gear. Pls. try to use that as reference rather weapons. Set the same view as on image and check the gear. If the gear is good, flaps are also good.

Molni, just look at the screenshots, the pylons are going through the flaps
Permanent fix for this would be a new SuperBug model (this one is getting old, not much point fixing it) with proper rack models properly defined.

Yesā¦that is most DEFINITELY an error in the model - the pylons are protruding through the flaps!
One of two things could be wrong: 1) the pylons are drawn incorrectly; or - 2) the flaps position is incorrect.
Just looking at the pictures if looks to me like a combination of 1) and 2)ā¦the leading edge flaps look a but out of position too, IMO.
ā¦Fly Navy.

I saw that but I thoght he refers on the angle and why we can see wepons under the wing. Now I get it.
-
ā¦now that I look/read again, I see another errorā¦the LEX Vents (āLERX flapsā) are inactive on Fleet Supers. Always have been. They are still there, but they donāt do anything.

Thank you for Reply.

Pylon is after? -
This is not AI Plane FA-18F.
For the reference FA-18D This is not AI Plane
First thread is FA-18F of AI.
I think that AI Plane different angle of flap, and Pylon Position.
Thx -
I understood This Model data use same HARD POINT and LOD center position of All F18.
-
The pylons as depicted are not only mounted in the wrong locations beneath the wings, they are also incorrect in overall shape -

Also - since the wings are different on each aircraft, they cannot be in the āsame positionā on eachā¦not to mention that they arenāt even the same pylon between E/F and A-D models.
-
I think that pylon should be on aerodynamic center.
May be,Aerodynamic center and 3D polygon Data of F18F are offset. -
Bottom line, the e and f need alot of work. Or a new model
-
Damn, I completely forgot about that. I remember noticing it when I implemented EA-18G, and then F-16ās retrofit happened. Maybe I can have a look in a couple of weeks or so, when I am done with external pods.
-
Thing to note for each is that the top aft edge of the pylon intersects the wing at a point forward of the aft spar - and note that the geometry of the wings are different between the A-D and E/F. Good start overall, now itās all detailsā¦as I mentioned, close up the LEX Vents too - they are non-functional on Fleet aircraft.
Modelers - if youāre looking for a good shape reference the 1/48 Hornet models from Hasegawa are excellent as far as outline goesā¦the A-D ones in particular. The E/F ones do have some problems with the landing gearā¦they are a bit undersized. But as far as a physical geometry and configuration reference they are first rate.
