Windows Cursor after alt tab
-
I have the same problem after installed Win 10.
Didn´t have this issue in Win 7(both 4.32, 4.33 versions). -
for now the only workaround is to refocus window and then CTRL ALT DEL followed by ESC…
The cursor should get back to normal…
Cheers

I had this problem in 4.32. Never had since I upgraded to 4.33, but I don’t use now ALT+TAB, because a few times, when I did, 4.33 crashed. I now use the Windows key to get access to the desktop and I’ve no problem of any sort. Oh, and my system is a Windows 10 x64-based rig powered by an AMD Phenom II X6 1055T (overclocked to 4 Ghz) and a Gigabyte G1 Gaming Geforce GTX 970, should you be curious for your own reference.

I tried application ‘Cursor Hider’, assigned a hotkey (scroll lock) to hide/show the cursor. It doesn’t work as advertised, it doesn’t hide the cursor when using the hotkey, but it locks it in its current position. So as a workaround, after switching back to BMS I moved the Windows cursor out of the screen, locked it and then only the in-game cursor remained visible/active. It sort of works, but if you’re likely to be switching a lot (like me), it is quite annoying … not as annoying as playing with two cursors, though.
I’ve just tried the solution suggested by MaxWaldorf and it works for me. I hope this won’t have any side effects like crashes or MP disconnects. I’ll just reiterate the steps in detail:
- focus (switch to) BMS window
- press Ctrl+Alt+Del to open Windows Security Screen
- press ESC to cancel it and get back to BMS
-> the Windows cursor disappears after ~0.5s.
You have my gratitude, good sir!
Just for the record, I didn’t know what SUPPR means, then I’ve figured out it’s DEL. What locale is it?

In my case it doesn’t seem to matter in which manner I switch applications, Alt-Tab, Ctrl-Esc, Win key, I’ve tried them all. My money is on operating system; something new in Windows 10 might be causing this.

Nah, still the same with 7, I yet have to try what MaxWaldorf said, but this isn’t an unusual problem, it happen on other games too.

I think it’s France, or a french speaking country, SUPPR stand for Supprimer ( delete )

Yeah sorry…
CTRL ALT DEL…

Hi,
Sorry, I have to admit at first I thought Max’s Post was a joke (like saying Alt+F4 keypress would also get rid of one of the cursors, haha).
I can’t try out now, but once I get back to my BMS rig, I’ll give it a try. Should that work, thanks a lot in advance, Max…!
Since 4.33, I have to press Alt+Tab or WinKey a lot to get rid of the taskbar, so i end up with double cursors most of the time (I play in Windowed/Borderless + Extraction and MFDE and most of the time the taskbar sits in front of the BMS main window when going to 3D)

I’ve found that task manager, BMS, switch to button solves it. It’s not the most convenient solution but it works for me.
