@Mud:
And the TARGET script loads properly? No errors at the bottom?
My script simply wouldn’t load under Windows 10 on both my own and my wife’s pc until I had disabled the advanced power management for USB devices in the registry.TARGET script loads properly - “compile successful.” Reinstalled BMS, reinstalled Thrustmaster drivers & firmware. Joystick buttons still don’t work although in the sim on setup page the buttons register when selected, e.g., button 32 or button whatever. The script just isn’t detected for Cursor enable, pickle button, all DMS, TMS and CMS keys, NWS and pinky buttons on joystick. Throttle works fine except for the mic switch to use IVC VHF & UHF. All works fine in DCS A-10C. I’m thinking it’s Win 10.
Thx for your trouble & thought!
P.S. All works fine on another computer still running Win 7.
Problem solved with Frederf’s excellent help:
Open Control Panel>Hardware & Sound>View devices & printers>right click on Joystick & select Game Controller Settings. Inside window you’ll see Joystick Throttle and peds & should be in that order top to bottom, but they are not in that order thus the problem.Open Device Mngr.>select Human Interface Devices>right click on HID-compliant game controller & select disable. The disabled controller will then disappear in the Game Controller Settings window>right click on HID-compliant game controller in Device Mngr. again & select uninstal - it should then disappear in Device Mngr. as well. Go to top of Device Mngr. & select Action>Scan for Hardware Changes. Do this to all game controller devices until the right order in game controller settings window are set in correct order. This should do the trick - at least it did for me. Good luck!

Hey Mud,
I turned on the throttle off in the configurator but I still need to click Alt+i to get the engine going.
Is that normal?Nick
-
I believe I leave mine on in the configurator. At least leave the default value. I’ll check tonight when I’m home to be certain.
Other than that:- RPM above 20
- More throttle over the hump to full AB, and immediately back down againt the hump.
Perhaps it’s not needed anymore to go through the throttle axis so that BMS registers it in 4.33, but in 4.32 I had to do that.

Okay I just checked, IDLE cutoff is OFF in my Configuration.

Thanks Mud!
Appreciate the assistance

Hey Mud. Thanks again for your work, but I’m having yet another problem:
The missile step long button (switching missile types) does not seem to work. I keep holding the button, yet nothing happens.
Is that a known problem that I missed during my solution process or a mistake on my side? The missile step short works well.
Thanks in advance for your help again.
Greeting,
Mobius

Hey Mobius,
Thanks for pointing that out! I just checked and that’s something I actually forgot to bind completely in the script. Surprising you’re the first one to notice this
Then on the other hand I never used that function of missile step either myself, obviously.I’ve got a pretty busy weekend ahead of me, but I’ll sort it out on Sunday or Monday.

Mud

Updated to version 3.04
Fixed missile step not working as it should@Mobius: The error was actually something very minor, so it didn’t take me as long to fix as I thought it might. (Pulse vs non-pulse button)

Thanks for the profile Mud. I’m new to this.
I got a super noob question, when I use this profile, all of the keys in my joystick are not assigned, but keys in my throttle are assigned. When I running the script, its says:1: “Throttle - HOTAS Warthog” - “USB\VID_044F&PID_0404&REV_0100”
2: “Joystick - HOTAS Warthog” - “USB\VID_044F&PID_0402&REV_0100”
USB HID device “Throttle - HOTAS Warthog”(USB\VID_044F&PID_0404\5&15C311E1&0&14) selected
USB HID device “Joystick - HOTAS Warthog”(USB\VID_044F&PID_0402\5&15C311E1&0&13) selected
USB HID device with hardware id “VID_044F&PID_b351” cannot be found
USB HID device with hardware id “VID_044F&PID_b352” cannot be found
USB HID device with hardware id “VID_044F&PID_0400” cannot be found
USB HID device with hardware id “VID_044F&PID_B10A” cannot be foundBut when I running the device analyzer, every buttons in my joystick can be found.
Also, maybe I’m just stupid, I’m trying to assign keys in the game, but I couldn’t find TMS,DMS or CMS buttons…
Could you please help me with this? I’ve been working on this whole day but still has no clue.Thank you.

Wow! Thanks for the quick update. I will test out the new version sometime today and report if everything works fine.

Hey Mud,
What command on the keyboard enables data link on the HSD?
In a youtube video, it said to switch FCR to “Cont” and press “CRTL+O” and full datalink was enabled on the HSD.
I don’t get that with this profile. What has it been changed to?

You are not switching FCR to “Cont”. You are changing “Assign” to “Cont”. Once you have changed it to “Cont”, then press “CTRL+O”.
-
Hi Dracfalcon,
That is what I attempted to do.
Change “assign” to “Cont” then press “CTRL+O” and I am still not getting anything.
Any ideas?Nick

Hi Mud,
When I load your profile in game, there are only 3 keys for stick, therefor I couldn’t set up TMS, DMS or even trigger button, but when I switch to BMS Full key profile, I can find all keys in the stick list. Is there something I’m doing wrong?
Thank you.
-
DracFalcon/Mud,
Disregard I got it going! I had to hit “Comms IFF Out” and it worked right away!
Mason.zh,
Did you load up the profile in Target?Loki
-
Hi Nick,
Thanks for the reply. I did load up the profile in Target and also in the game.
-
Mason, did you try this in the 3D world as well or just in the setup list?
If you have the problem in the cockpit as well, it’s most likely a USB device order which is wrong. Several people have had this, and you can find the solution both in this thread I believe and in some other threads.
-
Hi Mud,
I tried this in cockpit, and all joystick buttons are not working, and only some buttons in throttle are working.
Also, I found out that when I disconnect my CH Pro Pedals, and running your script in target GUI, also load your profile in the game, most of buttons in my joystick are working expect NWS, and I also found that when I disconnect my CH Pro Pedals and running your script, even when I load BMS Full profile in the game, all of my joystick buttons are working, and most of buttons in my throttle are working like radar range and cursor etc., but some switches are not working such like parking break switch only work for ON but not assigned for OFF.
I feel like my CH Pro Pedals has some issues working with BMS, but when I test them in DCS, my TM Warthog and CH rudder working perfect.
Also I search through Google and I couldn’t find out how to make my USB device order correct. Could you please point that our for me, thank you again! -
This may hopefully get you in the right direction:

Hi Mud. Had another problem today. The trimming POV on the stick did not work for me. Could this be an error on my side or is it a bug within the script?
Greetings,
Mobius
EDIT:
I also noticed that, unlike in the previous version, the position of the switches in the cockpit does not correspond with the position on my HOTAS. For example before if I switched Master Arm up it would switch to the up-position in the game. Now it just cycles through the different position. That is for all the switches on the stick.
