Weepops Helios profile

Ok, maybe because of this :
The background image is : Weepop-Ice\Panels\CMDS Panel.png
the real link is : Weepop-Ice\Panels\CMDS Panel .png (the difference is the space before the .). Is it that ?
So i have this now, is it ok for you ?
-
And i forgot, thanks for the keyfile, the problem was the link to BMS, E:/ for me, not C:/
Thanks !
-
Hi Weepop,
Thanks for the file. No dice thought
this is what my screens look like in full screen vs. windowed.
Pika outIn your extraction setup on your main screen make sure the borders option is not checked and the position is 0 and 0. When you commit in BMS it will go full screen.
-
One last question… When I click in a MFDE gauge by mistake in my touchscreen, BMS become not active, I have to click again in my first screen to come back to the simulator. Do you have any tricks about this ?
Thanks !
-
waichou
No that is not OK, it is both old and new CMDS panels together. There should not be a space before the .
Are you entering the path manually? don’t , use the browse symbol … and go to the correct image.
You should not be able to cause problems touching in MFDE space because of the protective layer over everything.
Can you check your cockpit display extraction settings and make sure borders are not ticked.

Ok, but I don’t find the file without the space before the . Are you sure it is included in the download ?
Thanks !
-
waichou
file is definitely in download, are you sure you have got the latest one, check in charts checklists , there should be 24 jpg’s if you have latest download. If not download again.
If you have latest then its a mystery where CMDS as gone. The one with the space is the old one.
I have uploaded the CMDS.png again on its own to save you doing a complete redownload if you don’t need it.

Ok, I checked again, maybe my download was incomplete, so I have downloaded the jpg missing, thanks for that ! I really enjoy your version !!

Hi !
I am using your profile since this week, I really appreciate it ! I have some wishes (maybe for later…), it can interest you too (I am really not familiar with Helios to do it myself…) :
- Adding a place for the NWS marker (usefull when on ground)
- Adding a shortcut for Idle detent (I start most of the time cold & dark)
- Adding a panel with shortcut for all comms (tower, wingmen, ATC, etc.), so for me : A Z E R T Y and 0 to 9 buttons. I don’t know how to do it. The goal is to not use my keyboard
- Adding a version with a cold & dark state (I made one myself, if someone wants it, I can give it)
A noticed a problem for ILS ON/OFF button (Audio Comm Panel), I think your affectation is wrong, can you check ? (I changed it in my version).
Thanks a lot !!!
-
The AoA and NWS marker aren’t included because they are right there in front of you in the HUD. Adding them on the profile (at least in my case) would only waste vertical space and it’s tight enough as it is.
IDLE detent should also not be an issue because this is designed with the TM WH which has it built-in. If you have a different HOTAS, it should be easy enough to bind a key somewhere.
As for comms, check out VAC, Voice Attack, or Livrot’s LMC. No need for shortcuts, just say it!
What exactly do you mean about “a version with a cold & dark state”?

Thanks for observation re ILS volume knob. It was definitely faulty. I have corrected it for next upload when I have finished with additions to charts.
I may look at adding NWS indicator, I presume you want to be able to see it when you are not in the pit.

Yes, I only show the HUD in my first screen now, so it would be great to have the NWS in the second screen.
For the Cold and Dark cockpit, I mean a cockpit ready for a rampstart, for the moment I had to change the position for all buttons before start up. -
OK set up Helios and loaded both yours and -Ice’s profiles as per instructions. With both get “error loading profile”. I have 47" main, 2 x 27" (none touch screens) + Asus touchscreen laptop which on network and linked to main PC by “spacedesk”. Running AMD dual vid cards (crossfire) in Win7 pro; laptop win10.
So I get the Helios control center which show profile(s) in its window but get error when push “start” button. -
Load it on the Profile Editor and Reset Monitors.
waichou, I apologize… I forgot you guys fly with no cockpit on.
weepop, could you do me a favor and tell me what “errors” you’ve found in the profile? I suspect stuff like the ILS volume knob… if it’s broken in your profile, that’ll mean it’s because it’s broken on mine. I’m not flying as often as I did so I can’t test these myself. Thanks!

Load it on the Profile Editor and Reset Monitors.
Load profile on Profile Editor, yes?
Well Profile editor stops working when I try and load either “-Ices BMS 4.33 ver.1.2” or “Weepop-Ice” hpf files.
Haven’t worked out what you mean by “reset monitors” yet.
-
Yes, load it on the Profile Editor… not sure why it’ll stop working though. Maybe another corrupted download? Once the Profile Editor is working, on the upper-left, click on Profile and then click on Reset Monitors. This “resets” the profile to detect your monitor setup and work for you. For instance, my profile will work with someone with two monitors. Whether that monitor is two 1920x1080 res, or maybe one is 2560x1440 res and the other is 1920x1080 res, or maybe one is 2560x1808 and the other is a 1920x1200 res. However, on each example, the user will have to “reset monitor” so that the profile will detect and set itself up to that specific monitor configuration. Indeed, in my case, it is one 5896x1080 res and another at 1920x1080 res.
Hope that makes sense!

So suggest re download yours and Weepop’s profiles? (also Rogues which I tried to see if same thing happened which it did) maybe also reinstall Helios? (after uninstall)
Just to check. I am using “HeliosSetup-Stable-1.3.190.msi” etc.c and “-Ices BMS 4.33 ver.1.2.hpf”, etc and “Weepop-Ice.hpf”, etc and placing files where instructed (Docs/Helios/etc + *.key in BMS/config/etc) OK?
Re setting monitors will presumably be sorted if I can get Helios to accept the profiles in the first place.

waichou
forget NWS as helios does not output anything to drive it.
Ice
nothing wrong with YOUR ILS volume it was just mine fubared.
Falcon only has ON/OFF callbacks but you had provided a rotary encoder and I messed it up and ended up with it outputting intercom volume. I have now changed it to a two position knob and relabelled the background with just ON or OFF , but yours is OK because you made it step the correct amounts and send the correct callbacks. -

OK uninstalled and removed everything. Re downloaded everything. Still Helios profile editor shuts down as soon as i try and open any profile. (But not if I create and save a new profile with nothing in it)
? The “Images” folder which is pasted into (in my case) C:/Users/Name/My Documents/Helios/Images is the folder(s) labeled “-Ice’s Falcon BMS ver.2” or “Weepop-Ice” or for Rogue just to check “Viper” ….Correct???profiles in same place C:/Users/Name/My Documents/Helios/Profiles also “-Ices BMS 4.33 ver.1.2.hpf” or “Weepop-Ice.hpf” and Rogues 2… Correct??
keyfiles in BMS User Config folder? I assume these are necessary but hope they don’t conflict with Snelles Key file for my X55??
Any ideas? (Win7 Pro and no issues on other BMS stuff such as Lightning Falcon MFD Extractor or The BMS built in one.)
-
Hmmm… no idea why Helios would shut down if you open a profile.
My images library is in
\Libraries\My Documents\Helios\Images
and I have two folders, mine and weepops’, in the \Images folder. Same thing for profiles. So I think you’re good here. Have you tried opening your saved profile? Can you confirm which version of Helios you are using?
