Test low-poly toys in BMS4..

All of these pictures are just amazing! Great models!

since i’ve added atlantic convoyer in TE, time to reproduce historical scene…
i loaded four rounds of AM39 on SE… to test if AM39 work as AGM84 and check their submodes… no problem! just hold the prickle button a big longer while and missile away! all modes work very well - the only problem is you have to power up AGM one by one - fire first round, back tup SMS page and power up the second, fire and back to power the third.
anyway… check this…one AM39 soon to hit Atlantic convoyer while one harrier Gr3 just leaving the deck.
ship is smoking…normally we won’t get that close to see it, just for taking pc.

What a nice “Falkland like” story
And happy to see that your huge work is not lost -

Test another idea -just eyecandy.
i replace retard bombs with paratroops and tank, let cargo ac do carpet bombing…the first pic shows il76 airdroping(actually bombing) an AFB. two deploy 50 troopers each, two deploy four BMD3 each. iL76s doing crazy evasive maenuvor after airdropping.
i follow the package, here’s the view.
close-up, a simple low-poly paratrooper. i did not do multi-stage switches for these test samples.
BMD3 with three chutes- turret barrel fixed toward rear side as standard airdrop setting. no cushion pad under chiasis, no deacceleration rockets.
alright, just eyecandy - bring back old memory in Falcon3.0 … intercept airdrop flights, shoot paratroopers!

invasion now…!!! very good…!!! :bdance:
-
another test days ago… please ingore the missing rotor blades… i forgot to edit DOF#
onboard the luxurious voyager to southern hemisphere!
i choose taxiing to bow helipad - the view is great - titanic style!
the scene is inspired by a real photo showing RN seaking landing there - I’ve to admit it takes superb skill to land on front heli pad, the rear deck heli pad is much bigger.stay a while and lift off the QE2…soldiers, vacation is over!

+100!
Tanks () a lot, ccc1tw.
With best regards,

Hi, I’ve modified the av8b_afm files a little bit for easier handling, especially for maintaining altitude. Enjoy your heli ride.

those paratroopers and tanks are great for the airlift missions…
But IIRC those are only 2d and not actual 3d missions. Right?

But IIRC those are only 2d and not actual 3d missions. Right?ya, i remember choppers can do airlift -or air mobilization- in 2d.
in 3d world they just fly to some drop point… not sure if GU show up immediately at that landing zone.one more simulated chopper action…
INTL reports one hostile sub docking for emergent repair, task force commander want neutralize the threat ASAP… a nearby chopper detachment is tasked to excute the mission…with limited humble armament.
tgt sighted, missile away!
fire several rounds of Nord AS12 (acutally a AT6)…
sub is on fire! RTB!
with LJQCN101’s FM files, i manage to slam on the helipad…finally!
the modified FM seems have quicker throttle response and thrust - more arcadish - and thus make the ac hard to crash. thanks for the FM sample.BTW i do try to edit AS12(or AT6) as a man-in-loop weapon, but fail.
IMHO radio-cammand AGM like AGM-12A/B, AS-7, and earlier ATGM like AT-2/3,HOT,TOW can be set as zero generation MIL weapon.
i’ve tried AS18 - lots fun to control the flight of missile… BUT… when i fire the second round, no response to my control?and lastly, flying the chopper with modded FM really cause me motion sickness - got to leave choppers for a while.

I’ve had some success with using the AV8A, changed thrust mod to .9 in .dat along w/ empty wt/fuel qty for AH-1 and fly w/ nozzles 52-degrees and airbrake on. This gives me a reasonable airspeed of about 150kts and a nice, controllable–slightly bumpy–ride:
…landings are even reasonably managable. Need a better model, though.
-
your chopper needs rotor blades too, try this…
http://www.mediafire.com/download/u358oommblhd9y2/AH-1_for_fly_fun_test.zip
set parent record nDOF >41 nSwitch>9.

onboard the invincible… i did not edit parking dots… so some ac hanging outside.
ready to roll… deck is clear… lack of crew and support vehicles.
airborne…no problem!
BTW…FYI i move [submarine lod] downward 50ft in LE, the sub become invisible in closer distance in 3d world, yet barely visible at far distance or viewing from some angle. then i move lod downward 150ft in LE, it becomes totally invisible-submerged.
i tried to edit and activate mk46 torpedo for a while, no go. after checking agm84A, i think mk46 can use its guidance setting- RBL/BOL, search area, and skimming at sea level… just travelling at much slower speed. the active terminal maneuvoring would be cool, if doable. -
Also tuned some F-35 stylish arcade AFM replacing the stock F-16CM-40, basically lift fans added to the F-16. Have fun with that too.

i use yak141 model to test the fm sample…yes arcadish but very powerful in acceleration. when i slow down to hovering phase- the ac shaking vertically -then enter crazy spin(in cockpit), and explore in the end. the ac 3d model becomes invisible when it enters spin.
@Parislord, that pic seems come from some FPS game?
i’ve low-poly crew, deck vehicles, and Seaking lod with rotor blade and tail boom folded.
put all of them together can easily reproduce the pic - but better leave to modellers want to build hi-polys. -
fly harrier vs mirage TE… 4 vs 4.
in most cases harrier+aim9M can toast mirage+aim9B/super 530D.
in one case i have a head-on gunkill harrier, and my wingman damage one with 9B…
when flying harrier(AV8+), the slow speed handling and turning is excellent - i once draw a mirage into turning, and use vector thrust/viffing to let him overshoot. -

Hi. Mav-JP once said that the BMS flight model is using 3D model for determining the position of the weapons and therefore evaluate the gravity center of the airplane.
Maybe your changing to another 3D model causes an aft center of gravity, inducing instability.
Try F-16CM-40 itself with 8xAGM-65 then.
