Ok,
Long ago I was part of a Virtual Fighter Tactical Wing based on the UK, formed by a nice guy code named - Mad-Dog, if memory serves me well. This was really long, long ago.
At that time, after some years of crazy weekly fantastic “Falcon 4” online missions, I decide it was time to give it a rest.
Fortunately, a couple of moths ago I discovered, almost by accident, Falcon BMS 4.33U1.
I was impresses how Falcon 4 has become a massive and mature flight simulator by the hands and love of labor of many devoted community members. If I was already impressed after install FBMS 4.33U1 and give it a ride, now that I found this Iberia peninsula map project… well… no words.
Bases that I know very well, since I served on some of them, BA1- Sintra (with Asas de Portugal Squadron) and later on BA5- Montereal on A7-304 Squadron.I remember very well, when I was stationed on BA5, I witness this accident with an A7 on September 13, 1989 - Monte Real Air Base, related with the engine failure due to a problem with transfer of fuel - Pilot ejected safely but the plane crashed and exploded like an atomic bomb, fire mushroom cloud included.
Well, all this is only to let you people and “Joe Labrada” know that I’m very impressed with your map project.
The bases are very close to reality.
Sometimes I use to go and visit BA5.
It reminds me of fantastic times of my life.
I still have my outdated entry/access pass card after all these years. All and all, I hope to see this map scenario converted to “Falcon BMS 4.33U1” and, why not, join an “Iberian Virtual Squadron” and give it a go, all over again after, maybe a 15 years “Falcon 4-Virtual Fighter Tactical Wing” interval.
Excel works guys.
Keep it up.All the best.

Man, if have server in Monte Real you will love the future Monte Real in POH.

Well, we sincerely hope you can join our 201vFS “Falcões”
Here’s just a few of what you can expect from airbases in Joe’s amazing Pillars of Hercules theater:
… and, of course, our beloved BA5:
…and much much more:
And this is just a piece of the pie
See you soon in http://201vfs.org/forum/index.php

Nuno, I think you just forgot Beja, Porto Santo, Lages, Ponta Delgada, Faro, Ovar and all the other bases in Spain, Marrocos…
-
Awesome news.
Definitively I will check the 201vFS “Falcões”.
I can’t wait to get this scenario map installed on FBMS v4.33U1.
I’ve already noticed all the bases provided by this scenario map, including the North Africa Continent ones.
By the way, I love desert (sand) scenarios, I wonder as none decide to mimic the Iraq/Gulf War scenario.
Israel is the only desert/sand map that I know of.
A Gulf war scenario would provide a giant campaign scenario able to fill all expectations of multi-role/multiplayer missions, including AWAC missions, based on real events.
Anyway, this is me dreaming.
I love to design and plan missions.
I did that for my VFW squadron, long ago.Cheers

Hi Ben Martin, was that UK squad the 338th Tigers, or 185th?
Been there also before the 201VFS… anyway, glad to see, not only a Portuguese (but a Falconner) getting back to Falcon.@Nuno, that’s a big information leak…
hahahhahah.
This theater will blow out the minds of all falconeers in this community.
Congratulations to all involved. -
@Nuno, that’s a big information leak….
hahahhahah.Oooops!!! My bad!
Gotta get political asylum now… -

My deepest admiration for your professional work in the air.
Thank you for your compliments.I do not want to create false expectations …. but every day that passes those “3-4 weeks” remaining until POH0.8.0 is made public are more real.
POH0.8.0 still be a beta. But a “beta” almost final version and with so many new features that could not enumerate memory. You’ll love it.

-
That and Ikaros are my fav add ons…but all of them are admirable.
IT is a kind of its own, will always have a place in my memory since the old beta days at FF.
-
Is there any picture of LEMO and LERT???
-
There will be!!!
