Weepops Helios profile

Hi taichi
Glad you like my profile, yes I use the built in extractor for my MFD
s and DED and PFL, see my M1 - M3 download for positioning if you are using a similar resolution touch screen and it is left of your main monitor . I use Lightning
s MFDE for all other instruments . See my post :-https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?26491-lightnings-MFDE-Extractor-version-0-6-1-1&highlight=download+lightnings+mfdeI will post a screen shot on the first page of this post showing just these instruments so you can see where to put them.
I think I may be able to find where I saved this info and if I can I will PM it to you.weepop
PS
taichi when you run mfde an icon should appear on the task bar. Right click and select options. Pick the instruments you want to extract by ticking appropriate boxes.PPS
found mfde user config file and uploaded to mediafire. Sent you a PM -
Hi Weepop, any resolution with the checklist problem as I can only the first pages to appear when I hit the other pages nothing pops up.
Cheers

See post 115.
The problem is caused by loss of bindings!!!weepop
-
Hi Weepop, thanks for replying to my earlier post. Still struggling to get this to work through what was posted in 115. In the profile editor is working fine and the screens are setup correctly, the below is from notepad++ . in addition under bindings monitor 2 is correctly assigned to be used for the cockpit as its the touchscreen 1600x900. Could you advise on how to resolve as i must of missed a step.

<hidden>False</hidden>
<orientation>DMDO_DEFAULT</orientation>
<alwaysontop>False</alwaysontop>

Hi TJ1
Did you do the search/find for the word “bindings” (note Plural) as stated in post 115.
Did you find just two hits on lines 13426 and 20168 as stated in post 115.
If the answer is no then follow instructions and copy/paste the bindings from my original profile into your version of my profile.
Make sure you put them in correct place leaving line 20169 as the last one.weepop
PS sent this as a PM also

Thanks weepop eventually got it working, just copying the bindings over to my profile didn’t work, however when I find/replaced anything relating to monitor 1 to change to 2 everything worked fine. Thanks again. Another question regarding key binding trying to assign profile to my x52pro. How does one designate target? Another question when I use the pov’s they stick on for eg slew radar cursor or triming they stick on 1 direction so having to program key releases in advanced commands in sst which is different to any other profile I’ve used before!? Has anyone else had this problem or could recommend a profile to use for the x52?

Glad you are now working, but what you should have done is use the monitor reset function in helios editor to get your monitor names and locations correct.
This would lose your bindings, so then do the copy / paste of bindings.
I have made quite a significant improvement to my profile and will be releasing it VERY soon, so you can do it right next time.
I have no knowledge of X52 so cannot help.

Excuse me,
I just understood how recover bindings but my important question is: HOW CAN I move my mouse on the second monitor where I placed the Helios instruments ?When in Falcon Simulation, Mouse stay inside the window simulation, I can’t exit from there . . I don’t have a touch screen monitor . . .
Thans in advance
TaiChi

Hi taichi,
You cannot move the mouse on your helios monitor once the falcon sim is launched.
It needs to be a touch screen monitor so no mouse needed.

Wow !
Thanks Weepop, for your really quick reply !!Ok, so I thought I was doing some sort of mistake or “drowning in an inch of water” …
so . . or touch screen or touch screen eh !!! Monitor with touch costs a lot … maybe a tablet could be some sort of surrogate…
THANKS !!!

Hi taichi
Have you tried ebay, I bought my iiyama Prolite T2250MTS on ebay for a very reasonable price.

OK as stated in post 135 I have made some significant additions to my profile which I am now releasing.
These include, with help from Rogue`s profile :-
Corrected implementation of TWP (threat warning prime)
New implementation of TWA (threat warning aux) plus repeating it from left to front console
after relocating arrester hook from front to left console.New implementation of bit test and run/fail indicator lights on FCP (fault control panel).
New implementation of indicator lights on electric panel.
New implementation of FLCS test and indicator lights on test panel.
New useable guarded toggle switch on EPU panel.
Last but not least, rearranging left console, to be made up from separate panels.
It was becoming too complicated to edit. Also renamed my profile, image folder and keystroke files as follows:-
Profile…… WeepopFull.hpf
Image folder…WeepopFull ( download WeepopFull.7Z )
Keystroke…WeepopBMS-Full.keyUploaded above to mediafire , and added new thumbnails to first post with explanatory notes.
This is hopefully my final improvement so no more changes , unless someone finds an error.
My thanks to -Ice for his original profile and to Rogue for his profile from which I learnt a lot.

Nice to see you keeping on improving the profile, Weepop! Can you elaborate more on your “new implementation”? What was wrong with the old implementation of those switches?

Hi Ice
They were “not implemented” ie they did nothing , so as I said a significant improvement!!!
weepop
edit. I will rephrase that. Some of the switches did send callbacks to falcon but the indicator lights did not follow what was happening in the pit.
-
Thanks for that weepop. Yeah, they were low on my “to-do” list when I was making the profile as they are not accessed all that much.
-
OK I said no more changes but that was before I remembered how poor the lighting knobs were.
That is the console flood, instrument and DED brightness knobs. They were rotary encoders with erratic stepping so I have changed them to three position rotary switches and made them mimic the in pit control movements. Thanks again to Rogue for some very neat lua scripting. Also added leading zeros to the channel display 1 to 9 to again mimic in pit digits.
I have uploaded new WeepopFull.hpf and new WeepopFull.7Z to mediafire.
Because the image folder is so large and some people may not like to download it I have also uploaded just the necessary folder that as changed along with a read me. See Warning Lights and Indicators.7Z

And yet another change. one that I am sure nobody wants but I could not resist the challenge and would not let helios beat me.
I was not happy that the UHF channel could only be stepped in one direction ie up, when in pit you can go up or down.
It took a lot to figure out how to do it and it is still not perfect because you can only change direction when default channel 06 is showing in helios.
If you change at any other point the helios indicator will lose sync with the in pit display, so I have made this impossible by hiding either the inc or dec buttons once you start until you come back to 06.
I have added an image of the new UHF panel to post 1, and uploaded a new profile called WeepopFull +.hpf
If you agree we should not let helios beat us then download and try it just for fun.
weepop
EDIT did some tidying up removing duplicated lines and blank lines from both WeepopFull and WeepopFull + profiles and uploaded new versions to mediafire 21/08/16
EDIT 2 did lots more tidying up to rotary stepping switches uploaded new WeepopFull.hpf with the + features included and removed the WeepopFull +.hpf 24/08/16

How do I assign left and right tqs comms as unable to edit fields!?
-
TJ1
are you referring to lines 4 and 5 in the TQS section (2.19) of the keyfile?
If so why can you not edit the fields? Just overwrite the 0XFFFFFFFF 0 with the key that you want to assign…
See attached TQS section.

#===================================================================================EDIT Why do you want to make these work? , IFF is not implemented in BMS.
EDIT 2 TJ1 I get the impression you are trying to edit the keyfile in the UI. because I just noticed these two lines are locked to prevent editing. This is done by the second -1 in each line.DO NOT DO THIS read the BMS keyfile manual in the docs folder , section 6.1.8 explains what I just wrote.
Edit your keyfiles using notepad++ or the BMS keyfile editor, also found in docs.
I prefer notepad++
If you have used the user interface to make any changes then you will have lost the layout and headings so start again from my keyfile as downloaded. -
Ok thanks, the right/left comms are for data link.
