The TFR MFD page with all its functions, as well as all the conditions that must be met for TFR to become viewable and operational are described in detail on page 86, Part T.O. BMS1F-16CM-1 of your BMS documentation.
Thanks TommyGun . I have already been reading Page 86 but still cannot get TFR to open. Anyway I will keep trying and I appreciate your advice. Regards AMPRIS

Ok then. There are 3 possibilities.
1. You are using a F16 that does not carry a NVP
2. You are using a F16 that can carry a NVP but it is not loaded.
3. The Left hardpoint switch ( LEFT HDPT)on your sensor panel is in the OFF position. -

Hi Leech,
I think that I am using an F16 that does not carry an NVP as the LEFT HDPT is not in the OFF position. Not sure how to load a NVP as still just a newbie. Can you recommend which F16 I should be using?
Many thanks

Will do.
Keep us informed if any problems arise.
Allow me to give you some advice …. Hit those manuals and hit them hard. Don’t want to get any RFTM recommendation do you ? -
Ampris,
It can be frustrating to get things to work correctly.
Allow me a tip.
- Go to the manual-section when you startup BMS. Find the manuals folder. Select the BMS training-file
- Find the TFR-trainingsmission in this document and print it out and keep it at hand
- Start BMS and follow the training mission on TFR. It is in the TE section of the UI when starting falcon, but I recon you do know this.
- follow it step by step and make sure you do know exactly where the switches and buttons are in the cockpit you should handle. If you are not familiar with the switchology of the cockpit, this is a great mission to get acquainted with them.
- be patient! make sure you understand the difference between TFR and FLIR for example, and it’s different use.
If you keep getting issues, PM someone (don’t know your timezone) if you could get help online in a multiplayer session, or over teamspeak for example. Our community proved extremely helpful.
I’m confident you’ll get there. The taste you get when you complete this mission is high !
(having skills with regard to these systems is almost mandatory in the complex high risk environment of BMS)High regards,
Fan
