FOV Zoom

Hey Guys…
Just updated to U3 and everything works great except that my FOV got a f’d up. I reset this:
set g_fDefaultFOV 120
set g_fMaximumFOV 140in my falcon config file for my triple monitor setup (as it was before the update) but for some reason it looks like I’m almost sitting in the back seat trying to fly. I can barely make out the HUD. I recall having this issue before but for the life of me I can’t find the info I need here.
If anyone knows what I missed, or can point me in the right direction, I’d appreciate it.

What is your resolution from BMS and what is it from the Monitor?

I think if you simply decrease the set g_fDefaultFOV 120 value, the FOV will appear closer to the HUD. I can’t say why the view might have changed for the same value.

IMHO, picture #2 is not 120* FOV. More like 65*.

I’ll try adjusting it to 60 or 80 but I’ve had it at 120 ever since 4.32.

Worth testing. If nothing else, rules it out.

Just updated to U3 and everything works great except that my ( Landing Lights ) that is the light on the front landing gear.

Little TIP:
Let´s presume you have set-up your favorite natural FOV already:
- as example “set g_fDefaultFOV 85” (for me more than 80 cuz of screen-size)
But sometimes, if you want to rotate a button in the pit with your mouse-wheel and “miss” with the cursor in the heat of the action, instead your mouse-wheel now is changing the general FOV accidently - then add this to Falcon BMS.cfg
set g_fMaximumFOV 85 // Limits the maximum amount that the FOV can be increased
set g_fMinimumFOV 85 // Limits the minimum amount that the FOV can be decreasedboth values same as neutral FOV.
This way you prevent this from happening and you can still use the TrackIR Vector “Z Axis Control” in your game-setting to zoom the PIT ONLY.
WARNING: IF you do this, there will be NO external world FOV zooming !!

Ok…think I have it but I’m not sure why this happened. Changed default to 80 and max to 120 and it looks about right (for me). Both at 120 stuck my nose to the glass, and anything with max 140 had no noticeable effect.
