    • RE: Te builder, how to specify which runway 18 vs. 36

      Wind direction determines runway selection.

      If you set wind 100% neutral, fly off the runway you want …. ATC is either buggered or a PITA. You don’t need them to fly a departure or approach if you have ‘good’ alternate procedures.

    • RE: Pinky shift locking up buttons on X52 Pro

      You might look at these two parameters in the Saitek setup software ….

      You need to have the ‘clutch enabled’ function OFF (not selected);

      Check also that the key is not ‘latched’ in the Saitek software.

      Not sure if either of those are exactly your problem, but posting just in case.

      M61A1/M61A2 20mm Gatling Gun Velocity

      Should equal the velocity of the aircraft (or other vehicle) carrying it.

      Fired projectiles are another matter.

      😄

      @Stevie:

      I’d question the TDC for BMS only because that’s not how Cursor Enable works on the Viper (which constantly messes me up), but probably correct for DCS…functionally, but not ergonomically. Undesignate should be on the Pinky switch.

      Right. Makes sense. TDC, etc. is in DCS.

      Thx, A_B,
      You’re right , of course. I was thinking only in terms of axis’. So, you think this will work in BMS?

      I’m not positive, obviously, but I don’t see why not. And that is how it’s presented (in general).

      ……

      Which doesn’t seem to answer the question of how/if it works in BMS. If it is like a mouse, then shouldn’t you be able to map the antenna elevation to a mouse wheel? I can’t on my install.

      It’s a USB device. It’s acts as an independent DX Device. Just like adding an MFD or a UFC. Therefore, you can assign any BMS DX Callback to the three actions (scroll up, scroll down, button push) plus, as Stevie mentions, shift functions for those as well.

      In the video he does show it controlling radar elevation via scroll up/down. I assume the button push would be TDC designate/undesignated.

      @drtbkj:

      Neat indeed, Compadre. The site says 2 scrolls and a button. I guess the button is at the end of the wire you mentioned. I don’t see a second scroll, unless the 2 are on top of each other.
      If for nothing else, it would be a great radar antenna elevation control, and very Hornet like, to boot. The question becomes, will it work with the BMS axis?

      Pretty sure it’s ‘up scroll’ and ‘down scroll’ and ‘button press’.

      @mypc:

      Hi,

      The one thing that bugs me with the warthog is the lack of a real HOTAS dial/slider.

      Has anyone seen or tried these or know how they work: https://www.ebay.com/itm/For-Thrustmaster-Hotas-Warthog-Flight-Stick-Radar-Wheel-Mod-Modification-Kits/193718119963?_trkparms=aid%3D1110010%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.DISCCARDS%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20200220090753%26meid%3Df42639d2ca0c4e1aa225044e6005bf0c%26pid%3D100009%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D2%26sd%3D184597263866%26itm%3D193718119963%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2047675%26algv%3Ddefault%26brand%3DUnbranded&_trksid=p2047675.c100009.m1982

      I don’t get it. What is that connected to …. electronically. What does turning the wheel drive?
