TIR5 software crashes Falcon BMS
-
I am not expecting a direct solution, but i wanted to share this with you and see if there maybe are other people with the same issue.
My Falcon BMS crashes within 10 minutes when i use my TIR5.
No exceptions, the sim goes back to desktop real quick after starting it.
I have already done a complete reinstall of FBMS, on another disk.Now i have a number of options left, which i will try when i find the time ;
Upgrade my windows, i still use windows 7 pro 64 bit.
Upgrade my TIR software.
Compatibility modes. For now, to at least give my some time flying, i do not use TIR.
I use TIR without issues on IL-2 Battle of stalingrad.

Try OpenTrack or FaceTrackNoIR, both applications are compatible with the TIR5 clip.
OpenTrack is free / open source while FaceTrackNoIR is shareware (about 3€ I think).
All the best, Uwe

Been using TIR5 for three years on win7 64bit… zero issues. Run as admin.

+1, but nearer 5 years with Win7 and now Win10 for a good few months. Nothing wrong with TIR.

Like Qausi said – run TrackIR Software as Admin. Ensure no security software is blocking TrackIR as if it’s some malware or otherwise, and that Window 7 is completely up to date with the last patches/updates that were released for it. You may also try disabling any security software and uninstalling/reinstalling the TrackIR software as a final test.
If none of that works, something may be borked with your Windows installation:
Run the SFC /SCANNOW command. This will check and repair if necessary any critical Windows system files.Click on Start/All programs/Accessories then
Right click on Command Prompt option and select ‘Run as administrator’.
(or “Safe Mode” open a Command prompt)
At the command prompt enter: SFC /SCANNOWWindows 7 - SFC SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Thanks guys, i will try your suggestions tonight. Will come back with feedback.

It seems that running TIR5 with admin rights did the trick.
Much appreciated!
