Thanks Jcenzano,
I will try your tips and let you know the results.

First, let me say I love the profile the you did.
But for the life of me I canât figure out how to get this thing to work.
I set up the hotkey. The BMS profile appears in the profile screen. Then went to the manager in start using it and verify my hotkey works? There was a save icon, a new icon, and a print icon. I did not see an option to load or edit an existing profile.
Iâm assuming that I am suppose to use the BMS Full key file. I forgot, one last question. Is there a issue with english and windows 7?
I would appreciate any help you can provide.
Thanks,
Blain -

HI Blain,
You dont need to open the profile manager.
To load the proper profile, you must unzip the file downloaded from the server.
Profiles can be loaded here-> http://ul.to/6u682p19 Latest version 3.0-20-APR-2016
Installation - The rar file includes three sets of identical profiles, one for QWERTZ german keyboards, one for STD QWERTY keyboards and one for AZERTY keyboards. Just copy all the profiles from the appilcable folder (GERMAN, STD or AZERTY) to the âProfile Folderâ in the KEYSPEECH installation folder. You must see something like this in your Keyspeech\Profile folder.
Then you right-click on the keyspeech tray icon and select âsettingsâ all the profiles will be there for you.
As you can see I have the avenger 11 profile loaded.
as for Windows 7, it depends on which version you have. You need it the English voice recognition installed in order for Keyspeech to work properly. I know that for example, all Spanish W7 versions incorporated the english voice recognition engine, as well as the Spanish one, but IIRC German W7 included it only on the enterprise and the ultimate editions, not on the home one.
You should check if english VR is included in your W7 install.
Hope it helps

Key speech isnât working in the game.
Iâm sure Iâm missing something basic, since Iâm completely new to this speech stuff. I have key speech loaded and enabled. Iâm using the trial version. I have the bms 4.33 profile loaded up, and if needed I can switch to all of those call signs. I have it on listen always for now, just trying to get it to work. I have it on enable voice activation, and when I look at the mic screen and talk, it works, the green bar gets filled up.
Yet in the game I cannot call the tower or anything by voice. I can do it with the keyboard, so something is wrong.
Any idea what I am missing?
Finally, should I go with another program like Livrotâs? What do most of you guys use? All I want to do for now is to use voice commands just like a pilot would in real life when talking to the tower, wingmen, awacs, etc. In the summer I hope to get into multiplayer games and be able to talk to other players too. I do not want to use my voice for F-16 commands, since that is not done in real life. Trying to keep it accurate, and fun!

Did you install the english speech recognition package for Windows?

Probably not, if that wasnât part of the normal installation. How do I go about doing that?
I did check in speech properties and in language it says âMicrosoft Speech Recognizer 8.0 for Windows (English U.S.)â. So maybe I do have it installed.

Okay, if you have it installed, did you train windows to recognize your voice in the speech properties? For Windows to recognize your voice you need to âteachâ windows your voice first.
-
The train voice is grayed out so I canât select it. I figured it was grayed out since I have a trial version.

What version of Windows do you have and which language?
Some versions of Windows include the English voice recognition software, but some others donât.
If itâs installed, you donât need to run the VR software, keyspeech el use the engine without running the windows voice recognition software itself.
A good idea is to test that keyspeech works before testing that BMS sees the keystrokes that keyspeech generates.
To do that the first step is to check that keyspeech is listening and recognizing your voice commands. To do so, keyspeech has an option called âVoice Command Testerâ. With this option enabled, when keyspeech recognizes a âcommand phraseâ it will repeat the same phrase with a synthetic female voice. If you say commands, but keyspeech does not repeat them back when this option is enabled, it means that the program is not recognizing them.
Once you are sure that keyspeech is recognizing the commands, you can use the notepad for instance, to make sure that keyspeech is sending the proper keystrokes associated to each phrase. In my experience, if one works, all of them should work as well so i always use the âmagic request pictureâ and check that âQ 1â is typed on the notepad.
One question, What happens if you click on the âSpeech Profile managerâ option in the Keyspeech menu???
You should be getting an screen like this in W7x64. I donât know about other OS
And then try âBack up my speech profileâ
-
When saying Tower Permission to Land, it does repeat that, but its a guys voice, lol!
I have Windows 10. English.
I did backup my speech profile. So I do get all those screens.
I will test things out again later today. Thanks for your help.

A guy??? NO way its going to work the. Not with a guyâŚ;)
check whether the keystrokes are typed on the notepad, but if you have checked that commands are properly recognize, then I donât know what can be the problemâŚ

Hey why did I get a guy, I want the girl!
Ok, its working now. The issue is that my laptop mic might not be loud enough, and of course the Mic I bought needs an adapter, which I just ordered and will get here on Saturday. Then things should be much better. Of course I need to learn all the commands, basically I just flight team fuballs for now, since I know how to shoot down other planes, not too much else yet. Lots of training still to do.
My final question is how do I buy a license? I looked all over the website, and on the download page it says you can buy a license on paypal, but the only links that I could find were to download the software.
â-------------
Problem solved. I was contacted by the company and you either have to wait till the trial is over, or locate some file or something to buy the license. I guess they assumed everyone would do the entire 30 day trial before buying a license. -

I guess I waited until trial period was over, because I donât remember having any trouble to buy the software.

Hey jcenzano,
First thank you for this great profile, i like it a lot. I noticed in error in the second tower menu though. Asking landing and take-off runway are switched.
So now if you want to ask for the landing runway you need to ask âtower, request take-off runwayâ
I just recent found it out since i am trying to master the overhead break, so i ask the tower for the landing runway, followed by an request for an autonomous landing during the final turn. It takes away some of the realism, but apart from that itâs not a real biggy, just wanted to let you know.Greetz,

Iâll wait for the next release of the profiles,(probably when a new version of KS is released) to fix it.It is very tedious to correct small mistakes, because I have to create all the callsign profiles again.
I looked into a way to create all the callsign profiles automatically from the matter profiles, but my programming skills are somewhat limited.
Last thing i knew about Keyspeech development is that the dev was studying the possibility of implementing some kind of synonym that would make these little corrections much easier, because there would be only one profile for all the callsigns, instead of one for each callsign.

Yeah, thatâs what i expected:D. I already looked at the XML files and saw that myself. I thought maybe you had a way to do it quickly.
There are programs around that can rename and save files automatically, maybe thatâs a solution. If i stumble into something, I let you know.Edit: thatâs not gonna work I realize, all files have different callsigns embedded of course. So some kind of batch editing is needed, makes it more difficult to find a solutionâŚâŚ

For some reason team speak doesnt seem to hear me, even though the mic does work. In the past I would try the voice command tester, and I would hear back what I said, but now Iâm getting nothing. I have tried checking and unchecking the box for listen always. So Iâm not sure what to do.

Couldnât you just open it with notepad, edit>replace, and replace all instances of one callsign with another automatically? Iâm gonna check if Notepad supports command line parameters; if it does for this particular function you could make a batch file to automatically generate all callsign files. If not, I could hack togeather a small c++ program that would dumb-scan throgugh a document to do this, save it, repeat for all callsigns.
By the way, could you upload it somewhere else next time? That is literally a hosting site from hell
EDIT: OK, the program does not work for me on Windows 10, same problem as the poster above, it does not react to speech commands. Additionally it throws an error when trying to enable âlisten alwaysâ. I tried writing to the author but the form is broken and throws an error when trying to send the message (lol). Scotters, how did you manage to make it work originally? When did it break? Maybe Microsoft released some update that broke it.

Hi Guy´s
im struggling with the download of the Profile. http://uploaded.net/file/6u682p19
Is there an alternate link available ? -
Tried to by a Keyspeech licence today.
But i can not go any further than to the Paypal login screen.
The ony thing i can do there is login to my Paypal account. No further information about keyspeech there.
Maybe something is broken ?
