Many people (myself included) used to experience an issue in which their axis and button assignments in the BMS setup UI would not “stick” if they unplugged their controls between flights. This was due to Windows arbitrarily and dynamically assigning DX IDs to controls and is mitigated with the script and DeviceDefaults.txt entry.

Rybo, thanks for clearing things up on the man range, I thought that was for the FCS radar’s range, so I was trying to figure that thing out last night. Since I have no idea how to bomb yet, all those other things haven’t factored in yet. I really need to start to figure out how to use the Air to Ground radars and stuff.

Hi Rybo,
Thank you for the profile but i have a question, i followed your instructions and changed the default txt as well but when i run the TMC file and key file, only the trim seems to be detected on the Falcon BMS setup page . Other keys even on the throttle is is not assigned. Am i missing on a certain step or did i add wrongly? Please help!!

The same things has happened to me before but everything still worked as expected once in the 3D world. So try to fly and see if everything works and if not we can go to PMs to review your install process and I can possibly do a TeamViewer session if needed.

Hi Rybo,
Thank you for your reply. Just to update you, even in the 3D world, nothing works. Only the trim works. Perhaps a team viewer session would be great if you are fine with that. Please take note I’m in Singapore and time difference is +8 hours and i work on shift.

thanks for the profile.
what does IFF in and IFF out do?

I only play sp, do I need it?Check page 28 in the TO-BMS1F-16CM-1 included in the docs folder of your BMS install. It’s the comm switch left and right position used for the datalink system and yes you can use it in SP.

Hi Rybo,
Been thoroughly enjoying the new profile but was wondering if I could decrease the sensitivity of the radar antenna elevation control? As of now I can only do quick light touches otherwise the elevation jumps by 10,000 ft increments.
Was hoping for a more controlled slow change in elevation.
Thanks again
Ps saw the setting in the profile but unsure how to change this to slow it down?
SetSCurve(&Throttle, CSU, 0,30,0,20,-20); //Reduces elevation change speed SetSCurve(&Throttle, CSD, 0,30,0,20,-20); //Reduces elevation change speed
-
Thanks for pointing it out, looks like a possible mistake in my code. I can’t test it ATM but you can try this instead:
SetSCurve(&Throttle, CSU, 0,30,0,-20,-20); //Reduces elevation change speed
SetSCurve(&Throttle, CSD, 0,30,0,-20,-20); //Reduces elevation change speedIf that doesn’t change anything it may be impossible to add curves to virtual axes, which honestly wouldn’t surprise me. I may alter the code (eventually, really busy with RL ATM) to make those DX binds instead which would simply increment/decrement by 1000 feet each key press.

Tried that but I dont think it made any difference. All good - still having a blast with he profile and happy to use it as is for the time being.
Thanks

After trying Ice’s, which is great for a touchscreen, I have gone back to yours. My only concern in the future when I do multiplayer is that I don’t see a button for teamspeak. Otherwise I love your profile, and for single player its perfect.

Just installed your profile everything works well. Except when I load your profile in the target script my lights on my warthog throttle go out. Is that suppose to happen. And if so how can I turn them on while using your profile, other wise every button works great just the lights on my warthog throttle go out when I run your profile in the target script

I coded the lights to turn off as that’s my personal preference. I can’t recall the specific lines of code off the top of my head but near the top of the .tmc file there are a few lines of code that I believe I included comments for that should describe their functionality.
Open the .tmc in notepad (or, more preferably, in notepad++) and you should be able to find the code. The numeric range is from 0 - 255 IIRC, 0 being off and 255 being full brightness. Be sure to save a backup before you tweak. Cheers.

Aloha Rybo
I really like your script. I need to add my rudder pedals and I have no clue as what I need to do. Any help would be awesome. I just picked up the Thrustmaster TFRP pedals. Mahalo -

Near the top you will see code that looks like this:
Configure(&HCougar,MODE_EXCLUDED);
Configure(&T16000, MODE_EXCLUDED);
Configure(&LMFD, MODE_EXCLUDED);
Configure(&RMFD, MODE_EXCLUDED);Directly below that, add the following line:
Configure(&TFRPRudder, MODE_EXCLUDED);
Your code block should now look like this:
Configure(&HCougar,MODE_EXCLUDED);
Configure(&T16000, MODE_EXCLUDED);
Configure(&LMFD, MODE_EXCLUDED);
Configure(&RMFD, MODE_EXCLUDED);
Configure(&TFRPRudder, MODE_EXCLUDED);That should get you squared away and allow you to assign rudder and toe brake axes in the BMS UI.
Cheers!
