Is it possible that the air brake (Speedbrake) does not work? With me nothing happens on the button.
You have to hold it back to open the brakes, it’s not a toggle open/close.
Then click it forward when you want them to close. -
If you don’t mind and I don’t mean to be a A-Hole troll but you can toggle the speed brake - Open ( Press / Hold ) Key function = Shift L –- Close ( Release / Pulse ) with a delay of 35 Key function = B. I hope this helps

No offense taken. Was referencing how it works on the Warthog Throttle using Morphines profile, which I assumed he was since it’s this thread.

Yes the function was clear to me, with the keys it worked synonymous. Only with the switch at the Throttle not. Button 96 and 95, no function was used on it.
Property this times manually on it occupied now it works with me also.Am I the only one who had the error problem?
I am only at the beginning of Falcon BMS. Can be that I did what was wrong when installing.
Is it right to load the TARGET profile? -
Hi there, just want to thank everyone who has worked their butts off making a great profile, and maintaining it throughout!
Quick question though. If I wanted to change the coolie hat (index finger hat on throttle) from different views, to changing CMS programs/modes, or increase/decrease FOV, how would I go about that? I’ve been digging into the weeds in the keyfile editor (since the script says its keyfile controlled) but I cant figure out if I should be running the script before I make changes in the excel keyfile editor, or start the script after. Thanks!

I don’t use the excel editor to manage the keyfile, I just manually change the call backs as needed with notepad ++ or another code editor. So I’m not sure if you’re pressing buttons and assigning functions or you are manually assigning call backs to joystick buttons. Either way the default joystick button numbers of the warthog will be different than the button numbers when the profile is run. E.g. without profile running joystick button 20 does not equal Joystick Button 20 when the profile is running. So it’s probably best to run the profile and take note of the directx buttons which are being called, with the event viewer, then make your changes.
The Keyfile controlled comment in the script usually means that the noted command is called through a directx button. As opposed to the non-commented commands which are usually called through keyboard buttons. The Coolie hat on the warthog sends directx joystick buttons. For instance, coolie hat up is joystick button 22, but because BMS numbers directx keys starting from zero, the Keyfile glance forward command appears as OTWGlanceForward 21 8 -2 0 0x0 0. The point being, Keyfile button number = real button number -1.
If you want to play with the coolie hat functions, look for the directx calls for joystick button 22-25, ie 21 8 -2 0 0x0 0 for joystick button 22, and 22 8 -2 0x0 for 23 for joystick button. Then the base number +256 for their shifted functions, eg 277 8 -2 0 0x0 for pinky shift + joystick button 22. And change the call backs to whatever function you wish.

Thank you so much for your help….Also, I’m an idiot…I never once scrolled all the way down they keyfile and just copy pasted the callbacks to the appropriate button…Again, thank you for your hard work keeping this great profile evolving, and teaching the slower ones of the group how to help themselves!

i could finally make thrustmaster combined work with rudder pedals thanks to the links you guys provided. but now i need to change the shift button to s4. ive been searching this topic up and down but cant find it. i changed the target script according to the old explanation but im lost in key file.
the defaults are:
SimHotasPinkyShift -1 0 0XFFFFFFFF 0 0 0 1 “STICK: PINKY SWITCH (DX SHIFT)”
SimAPOverride -1 0 0X1E 4 0 0 1 “STICK: PADDLE SWITCH”SimHotasPinkyShift 2 8 -2 0 0x0 0
SimAPOverride 3 8 -2 0 0x0 0what do i need to change in these lines?
Edit:
OMG that was idiotic. Thankfully i found it out myself before having discussions about my iq. Just exchange the numbers between the lines.
Should look like this:
SimHotasPinkyShift -1 0 0X1E 4 0 0 1 “STICK: PADDLE SWITCH”
SimAPOverride -1 0 0XFFFFFFFF 0 0 0 1 “STICK: PINKY SWITCH (DX SHIFT)”SimHotasPinkyShift 3 8 -2 0 0x0 0
SimAPOverride 2 8 -2 0 0x0 0 -

This a pretty popular request so I did a separate profile for it, it’s a few pages back. https://www.benchmarksims.org/forum/showthread.php?8147-Morphine-s-Profile&p=415481&viewfull=1#post415481

hey thanks. it works like a charm now.
but i have to re-request a new sticky topic with the first post directly giving the links to the right downloads for 4.33. as long as we mention morphine’s name and also provide a link to this topic here for the older versions of bms, we’d be honoring the guy who created the profile and also make things easier for newbies dropping by.

Thank you for your profile Morphine.
I did run into two problems.
I’m using a version of it that Ice made for the touchscreen, and I’m setting everything up before I add the touchscreen.
After adding a line of code that Rybos taught me, the pedals work fine, and most buttons work fine, but the issue I’m having is that the boat switch is not switching between the different modes such as MRM OVRD. It works in the setup screen, but in the actual game I can’t use the switch. And what is weird is that for a split second it looks like its switching, but it doesn’t do it. I switched back to Rybos profile to confirm that the switch does work fine. So I just wondered if anyone had a clue as to what was wrong. Could it just be that things will work perfect when the touch screen is added?
The second problem is that for the radar cursor up was down and visa versa, unlike in Rybo’s profile. Is that intentional, or did I screw up something else too?
I like that the paddle switch can center track ir, and that pushing the CMS button is the slap switch. I like that with shift or by holding buttons you added more uses for each button! Great job. I may keep this profile if I can fix the two above issues. I may try to manually switch the antenna elevation from that wheel to the coolie switch, since I really got use to that with Rybo’s profile, but that is more just personal preference.
All these profiles have fantastic ideas! Thanks again to all of you for your hard work.

I have a problem with the script.
Sometimes it just quits on me and my throttle becomes unresponsive. Also sometimes, when stopping the script, TARGET crashes and I have to force quit it, resulting in faulty HOTAS readouts and the same unresponsiveness.
The latter happened quite often lately and I’m contemplating to drop TARGET entirely because the DX list is shuffled around and all my controls are a mess the next time I run BMS. It’s rather annoying. Does anyone have any idea about the cause?Eidt: running on Win10 64bit, multiple USB devices connected, including TIR, rudder pedals, external HD and the HOTAS.

The issue is with Target and windows 10. It’s caused by a conflict between the DeviceManagaementApp and the OS trying to enumerate the USB devices simultaneously, it can cause a system lock up which requires a hard restart. A simple fix exists, just delete the program. It’s located in Program Files (x86)\Thrustmaster\TARGET\x64. Credit for solution goes here https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3066795&postcount=1
The only issue with this fix is that target won’t hide the devices from the system, so you need to make sure your stick and throttle are at the bottom of your device sorting so you don’t get conflicting button press.
-
sweet jesus!
This has indeed been bothering me!
Thank you so much!
Though I don’t quite understand what is meant by the device sorting. How do I make sure it is at the bottom of my sorting? -
Devicesorting.txt is a file located in the install in the user -> config folder. It controls the order in which BMS enumerates your joysticks. Cut and paste the file so thrustmaster combine is at the top of the list and your Warthog stick and throttle are at the bottom.

Hello
little question…Button Expand FOV. Where can I find it in control settings? -
Are you talking about the pinky switch, which changes the fov of the tgp and the radar? That’s a function of HOTAS pinky switch. If you’re talking about zooming the tgp that’s controlled by the China hat in morphines. The profile makes the China hat behave like an joystick axis. This virtual axis should be bound to range knob in the avionics control page.

Hey,
Got a small issue, when i run the profile and then start the sim when i check the keys i can see that only the keys of the throttle are set while the keys of the stick do not respond even after i have loaded the attached profile…
am i missing something ?
