PROBLEM with Warthog in installation…
-
Hello! I have a problem with my warthog stick. I follow the exact steps for a perfect instalaltion but when it already done, i cannot use my stick. Although windows telling me that this device is working properly.
I have downloaded the right software and the TARGET exe from the official site of Thrustmaster.I run first (WITHOUT the stick plugged) the software
secondly i run the TARGET
thirdly, restart and plug in the stick.Windows recognised the device, it appeared right in HID (Human Interface Devices), but when I tried to make firmware update, it failed with this code:
0x34100002 Time out - device should had arrived in HID
I tried another and another usb port but nothing.
I tried to leave only the keyboard/mouse on pc, and unplugged the others, tried again, nothing again…I run windows 7 in ASUS P5KPL motherboard with Intel 2Quad CPU Q8900 and 4GB RAM, just to inform you…
Please give me your help here… Thank you in advance.

You don’t need amateur help with a specific Thrustmaster problem here at BMS you NEED to be filling in a troubleshooting ticket or whatever Thrustmaster calls their support.

I just wrote down the problem here in case someone else had the same problem… With the specific error code. I DO send an error problem in Thrust master’s site. And waiting…
UPDATE: It’s ALL ok… I solve the problem with Thrustmaster. Thank you.

And the solution was?
(For other’s sake)That error code is familiar though. I think it’s when either the stick is bricked or the stick to base 5 pin connector is damaged when inserted backwards or too much force.
There are other possibilities too, like not enough power to the controllers or bad wiring or lost grounding when taking the WHog apart and missing the ground connection in the base.
Then Windows will report that the HID doesn’t respond, of which the error code is saying in a cryptic and obtuse way.
The error code uses poor English grammar or translation, should read “should have” not “should had”.
Glad it worked out for the OP

Well if you would be comfortable paying for that broken thing then if you are feeling froggy then by all means jump.

You see that’s were the misconception lays, and why there is so much conflict in the world, the misguided belief that someone should be responsible for another’s woes.

No Animals were hurt in the making of this production.Well not exactly the case if you were to be giving advise to said unfortunate individual which made the problem worse. Say you had told him something which bricked the WH and TM decided due to user actions they weren’t going to help. Not exactly an innocent stranger at that point.

Stubbies your taking all this to seriously. Your bring me down Bruce.

And to continue the hijack of this thread,
When ever giving advice I always remind the perp that “Although my advice is free, its still worth exactly what they paid for it”
