A10 to BMS transition
-
Hi,
Is there anything that will help me transition from A10 DCS to BMS? I will probably end an infrequent flyer of both, so if there is a mapping of Warthog for BMS that is as similar to A10 as possible, that would help, eg CMS the same, DMS(?) the same, cooli hat, flaps, tgp etc.
I worry I will get confused between the two. Or should I just learn BMS from scratch (mud’s profile?)?
I’ve had AF for many years but struggled to get into it with a 2d cockpit (and ground tiles!) but BMS now looks like my biggest concerns are gone.
PS, Should I use TARGET? I don’t with DCS but surely in the long term it is better to have TARGET profile where I can esily copy CMS, DMS etc over to new sims/planes.

No need for target, run the stick and throttle as separate DX devices and you should be good to go (except for the pov hat on the throttle grip).
I used Kolbe’s keyfile generator to get a basic WT config going (it’s in your docs/key files & input folder). It took me a while to transition from the Cougar to the WT setup, but it’s getting there

I run Morphine’s Target Profile. It translates really well from A-10

Hi,
Thanks for the replies. I bit the bullet and ended up using Mud’s profile. I can understand it better than Morphines. For Morphines, I don’t understand what is being called and it doesn’t match the basic script editor text so I’m totally lost. I have started learning to use the script editor and am modifying Mud’s profile. The keyfile generator is beyond me completely.
