It’s all good dude, most of us just try to share various things that the actual combat pilots do; I don’t tag who’s in the footage unless they request it, as it’s unimportant. There are characters out there, that’s for certain :). Most are not concerned with keeping scores, or things of that nature but rather work on improving their SA and handling. However, some are concerned with such things, and love to share it with others, and that’s ok too, whatever pleases them. I find it a bit peculiar behavior but that’s fine.
You probably read too much into things, you’re a good stick, and that’s great. Just was a bit awkward seeing this special playlist and weird glorification of my ‘playing a video game’ lol from a match years ago, considering the circumstances lol. If you wanted recognition/attention, I’m sure you’ve got it by now haha, no virtual johnson measuring from here, I’ll concede that readily
No harm no foul, I’ve had a great day of mixing it up with some of the tournament’s top wigglers, and learned a few things, ah, and some campaign flights earlier. Anyway, looking forward to whenever you’re up to fly; it’s my pleasure of course.
[Edit] No problem with your footage, it’s fine with me, by all means share it. It was the weird intro that was absurd in my opinion, and the fact it’s from so long ago lol, to put such emphasis on something unimportant.

First of all, you know, that i keep records and stats. I never made a secret about it. It is NOT something new to you.
Regards videos:
I told you back then… ASKED you .if it is ok to record it …and put it on youtube. You said…yeah fine. I did !
Later (right at the time CM came back) you became very venomous towards me. I did not understand why, but i guessed the reason and removed them. The friendship was more important, than to display these videos. That was long ago.
Meanwhile people kept asking to put them back online! They like how you fly… and how i fly… and both in the same ring constelation is interesting i assume.
I was worried, that if i do i might again poke into your ego… but i also thought… these are old tapes…they were posted already and “KV and I matured up over the years” - so i did put them back online.Turns out… bad move…i was wrong … and i pissed of KV once more. §($%/"§§(=)$%!(
PS: I am back in the pit since eta 1,5 month… available every day, and yet i still wait to be asked by you to mix it up :).
Tomorrow i have visitors (house full), but following week… hunt me as much as you like. Shoot me down and make a video, put my name on it, underline the whole thing with funny music.
I promise i wont make a drama
We are “virtual pilots” … on the more serious end of things - in a way. Political correctness, hypocrisy, false politeness, or as you call it “asslicking and backstabbing” has no
place in our “profession”. Our job is to kill or to die IN THE PIT. Outside of the pit… we always can open a Jack and have good times. Let´s call things how they are - shall we?
Why sharing tapes and video must always and always be such a problem? I know why. It is personal!And foook yeah… if this all has one good outcome… i hope i light up your FIRE AGAIN :twisted: ( i heart already )

Whoa slow down turbo, I have no idea what you’re talking about now lol :D. See above, I don’t have any problem with your footage, it’s totally fine by me of course.
I think you’re being melodramatic and histrionic, and making a mountain out of a mole hill lol :D. Calm down and have a good time, try not to take things so personal
It’s a bit overly sensitive of you, don’t ya think, to flip out because someone asks “Is that a matchplay from 5 years ago?”, then you whipped your virtual tallywacker out and
started gloating about your personal hatchmarks/scorebooks you’ve been making for years. It’s okay by me, I just think the behavior is quaint.Anyway, there’s no drama here from me, I just need to understand how sensitive you are, and be more cautious in how I approach your trophy room lol. Again, no problems with anything you want to share
by all means I encourage it.Just relax, and try not to create conflict where it otherwise wouldn’t exist.

Just relax, and try not to create conflict where it otherwise wouldn’t exist.
boing… ball bounces back into your court
PS: not “sensitive” but “sentient”
Edit:
more cautious in how I approach your trophy room lol.
You better be !
I already know, how to approach “your” airspace
Quote KV:
Everyone has a plan till they get punched in the mouth -Mike Tyson.
Or in my words “Everyone has a plan until they’re merged with me”…
just dont chew my ears off… :rofl:
-
It’s all good here, like I said no conflicts, my apologies for asking about how old the clip is; I didn’t expect it would illicit a response of your tally marks you make, and a hyper defensive posture. Hopefully things are squared away now. I was just surprised at the perceived accomplishment and embellishment of an old match, but no biggie, I get it…some things are more important than to others.
:tjacked: anyway, back on to more important things like your thread title suggests. :dhorse:

What goes through my mind as i read this discussion… i think there is no “right” or “wrong” way when attitudes (including vpilots attitudes towards the game, their ego, their “colleagues”) are concerned.
The only productive way to exist is to accept ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE as they are. You can always judge others’ actions… but i think it is never ever productive to judge anyone’s personality (including ego), thoughts, attitude, value world etc… an exception being real-world airmanship where fatal accidents may occur due to bad airmanship. But that doesn’t apply to the sim world, does it
Anyways, it’s been awesome meeting you guys… you’re not boring, and that’s a great a compliment coming from me… at the risk of being understood (or misunderstood?) as a trophy-hunting ass-kissing humble-mannered but ultimately self-aggrandizing cock in a cockpit only concerned with winning :)))
But really… why i fly… i love the process of the dogfight… the geometries, the infinite variables, to see the adaptations taking place with practice, both own and opponent’s, and i love the kill. That’s it.
Sure the ego occasionally pops out and starts talking… “you gotta win this”… “why did you lose!”… “great job you kick ass”… “you gotta practice more”… “you gotta participate”… “its your duty”…etc etc. But that’s not why i love air combat sims. But that is all secondary! Like words in a song. I don’t want to focus on the words. I only want to feel the music. The core. The process, and the kill.

Well put!
Btw. STuge: 2nd place as a “newcomer” (came to BMS end of december 2016) and that with hat-switch and no track ir IS MORE THAN SOUND. Congrats!
@KV
I hope you did at least enjoy watching them… or gather some usefull data. I recall those fights more as relaxed trainings hops… rather than pre-planed executions of some sort. But i think that shows in the video itself. There are some mistakes of mine and yours … in those rounds… and the elimination of those mistakes is still a task i am working on till today. How to simplify things for oneself, but complicate things for the bandit. Still to learn i have (or cumulative memorizing?). I have to admit, some of my shootings where “naughty” …i wish i could do that consistently
-
I haven’t watched them all, they’re a bit outdated, but from what I gather great shooting by you, and mediocre flying by me. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
You’re more than welcome to get some more flight time with me whenever it suits you. Just send me a message.
-
“Outdated” indeed. With pleasure, i will.
PS: I want the evil, furious, vicous, premeditative murdering, yet elegantly executing KV BACK !

Sorry ace, I’m just the experienced village bicycle these days, everyone has had a ride . You’ll just have to settle for sloppy seconds. Not much of a trophy these days, but I’ll try and make it interesting for you. It sounds like you want a real challenge, you should take on the fighters of tournament, those guys are sharp, instead of gloating over a has-been haha
-
Can´t disagree with that. Will be intersting indeed. I am 100% the top 2 will give me hell of a ride aswell.
imo… those who seek for “respect”, have no idea what respect means … but that´s just me.
only fools dont respect their “enemies”“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
What that means is, if you only analyse your own mistakes in tapes, and ignore the “greatness” in others, because you dont “respect” them, you might get suprised by unexpected defeats.
Respect in this game for me is NOT the “envy” of scores or achievements. That is silly. Respect - as i said before - is to take others seriously as beings - EVEN if they fly weaker - and study them, to appreciate them and their evolution, to learn from and WITH them. Everyone is a teacher, if ego is not blinding oneself ofc. THAT my friend is “respect”. What motives each individuals have or create to find inspiration in order to evolve (thus joy and fun) … is not my bussiness, nor a reason to hold that against them, nor a reason to provoke them with banter/sarcasm, nor a reason to question their “nobleness” .
Shooting someone down in a game, and being happy about it publically (as it is difficult enough) is no disrespect.

Couple Action-Scenes mixed together from the Simulation IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Moscow and Stalingrad.
All scenes are from the “BERLOGA” dogfighting / duel server, except the last scene is from the “Wings of Liberty” server, where i was attacked by CIA_Luth & CIA_Elanski at the end. Gladly i survived, becuse those guys are really good and IL-2 “Veterans”.
This is one of those videos - which if watched - is supposed to deliver that feeling “I want to fly too now”. I hope you enjoy it and find some inspirational moments burried within.

The biggest mistake i made in BFM a long time ago was to believe to “know it all”. A common “illess” infecting many pilots with history.
The self-blinding arrogance “to be good”. The reality was, that i wasn´t and that my measure was only based on a minority of pilots (or especially one simulation only) and that i used them or that as “poor reference”.Never realizing, that the measure of constant evolution and progress is hidden - and lies elsewhere - detached and independent from others.
There is always room in the thrive for perfection, beyond others and especially beyond YOURSELF.
“The moment you stop trying to become better is the moment you end being good” - a quote from the past remembered. The “essence” of “fun”.As if would be important to be respected, but the reality is, there will NEVER be respect by NOONE. The ONLY true respect there is, is the one YOU can have, by studying others, learning from them and therefore - “respecting” THEM.
It does not matter, how many victories you achieve, how many tournaments you win - you will never be “respected” by those who try to defeat you - only by those who study you and ultimatly do.
Most wont “study you” as long as their scores are better - some even wont, if their scores and worse. Weakness is the best strenght - a lesson of life - as long as one admits.Know your opponents better than they do you (RESPECT them MORE, than they do you). Train hard, secretly and wisely, set goals, but never show all you cards - YET be helpfull, because the higher the standard, the skill-set and wisdom becomes within your fellow sportsmen, the more mutual respect will follow. THAT is respect in warfare, to “know” your enemies.
If you can fly “without ego”… you start “flying”. Free of prejudice.

Early morning, open windows, sunshine and coffee - and a moment of inspiration - testing a new feature aka the ability to draw within videos and while recording them.
I was thinking, maybe people would be interested in such BFM tutorials (in future of course with text instead of abbreviations - or maybe text to speech overlays). ??The abbreviations used here are:
TR = turning room
LT = lead turn
HS = high six (or energy positive side/end to the bandit)
Rad = radius
Gr = Gravity Assist
The angular drawings = simply show lag- and lead-pursuitsPlease keep in mind, this first video is “from the hip” - very quickly made as a test, but if people (enough) are interested, just click “like” under youtube. If i see it worth doing, i will try to make some interesting tutorials like that (with humans ofc). Enjoy.
