YAME64 suite

And per the YAME Globals tab - the “REMOVE HOOK FILE” button is grayed out and does nothing, even after multiple presses.
When it’s greyed out, it shouldn’t be doing anything, so that’s normal.
If there’s nog d3d9.dll file in the bin/x86 or bn/x64 folder then the button is useless anyway. As I mentioned in my previous post, I don’t have any visible input fields on the Globals tab window. Its completely empty. the only button that works is the View Client
FYI: Upon installation, I didn’t see a query for Setup Path either. The fact that it doesn’t ask is normal. Ref changelog:
- added autodetect BMS path
- added autodetect keyfile
- added autodetect dtc file
- added autodetect theater (for kneeboard & CP60)
YAME searches for those things in the windows registry. If nothing is available in the input fields, it didn’t find anything so something must be wrong with your registry maybe.
If YAME finds no BMS according to the registry, it thinks its a client on a second pc therefor you only have a working client button etc. -
Hello
I got an issue since 1.2.1
when clicking on “Launch Falcon BMS”, the game starts but then crash on Tommo loading Screen :Windowed mode check box is on on Yame
I’ve deleted previous dlls in Falcon BMS directory
Done a clean install over the 1.1.0 and had 0 issues on 1.1.0
The game does not crash if I uncheck the “Fullscreen” checkbox on the Main Yame window
Yame is displayed on my 2nd screen only, running DirectX Hook Extraction
Any advise ?
ThanksHow is your 2nd screen positioned in relation to the first? Not physically but in Windows? I’ve noticed issues when it’s left of right of the main, but never when it’s above the main windows where BMS is drawn.
It can be worked around by positioning the screen above the main screen, or by making your yame window on the second screen 1px less then the width of the monitor. -
I have the same issue as mikemadmax. Can you share what registry entries this autodetect feature is looking for and can the autodetect feature be deactivated ? Thanks !!!

OK. Where can I find BMS in my registry?

Which windows version are you working on?
Also, have you tried running YAME as admin?Sent from my LG-H818 using Tapatalk

Hi BVT_Scorpion. Thanks for joining the quest.
Yes. I’m running YAME as Admin. No joy. My OS is Win 10 Pro. The frustrating point is that YAME 1.1 was working fine before the upgrade to v1.2. And per Focaldesign’s question: I’ve got five monitors (2 non-touch and three touch) - all arrayed vertically in windows Display Settings. I’ve reviewed my registry and I cant find BMs’s Bin .dll config file anywhere. I don’t know if its of any consequence but, I would think that BMS put it in the BIN folder for a reason. However, lets backup a bit. As a requisite for YAME’s v1.2 update, I deleted my BMS d3d9.dll from the .dll config file. Now I’m not showing any .dll config file in the BIN folder at all. I’ve checked my Recycle Bin and have noted the following:BINUSBWrapper.dll
Common.Compression.dll
Microsoft.DirectX.Directinput.dll
Microsoft.DirectX.dll
Phcc.dllAgain, I’m not certain that these .dll’s are of no use or should be restored. Any insight would be appreciated.

mikemadmax,
You and or me are confusing things I think. I’ve seen people saying BMS crashes, others say the have client only available and no options in the globals menu for path to BMS etc.
The reasons why we ask to delete the d3d9.dll in the bin/x86 or bin/x64 folder is because the v1.2 hook is not compatible with the v1.0/1.1. So leaving it there would make YAME try to use the dll which isn’t compatible.
When you have deleted, it will only be placed back (the newer version) by YAME if you have selected 3Dhook extraction in the client and thus not using RTTextraction instead. If you don’t have hook enabled, it won’t place the dll.The registry I’m talking about in the above posts is something else. That’s YAME looking in the Wndows registry for the BMS path to set the path to BMS install and detect theater & keyfile automatically.
Have you tried making the windows 1px less in width and/or height then the monitor size to see if that works? I for example have 3 monitors. 1 main, 2 for extraction. One window I can set to 1960x1280 size without problem, the other I need to set to 1279 otherwise BMS crashes at startup. No idea really why.

Hi again:
Yep. I, for damn sure, am confused. Please understand I’m learning as I go. BMS is not crashing on me. However, once I Start Yame I can’t Launch BMS from within YAME. I have to launch BMS independently from my BMS desktop shortcut. The latter applies to my situation. I too only have client available and no options in globals menu for path to BMS. I’ve got the concept of incompatibility between v1.1 and the v1.2 hook. Per enabling “USE Direct 3Dhook” on the Extraction tab. I can only enable the Get Data from Network button as, the Get Data from Falcon BMS and the sub buttons for Use Direct3d Hook and Also Run Server are grayed out. In short - they are not available. You mentioned not using RTTextraction. Could you explain further. I’ll tweak my monitor size as suggested although BMS is not crashing on me at start up - yet. Again, please bare with me. I’m getting an education with every post I read. And its a lot of reading and technical concepts to digest and, in all honesty - try to understand.
Thanks for your patience.

Hi Mike,
If you have only client available and no options in globals menu for path to BMS, then all the other problems you mention are related.
Yame doesn’t find the correct path to the BMS install and therefor thinks it’s a standalone client to run on a secondary pc. That’s why you can’t enable server, the ‘hook’ option doesn’t place a dll in the bms bin folder etc.Problem is that Roccio wrote that part and he is currently not available due to personal health issues. Maybe BVT_Scorpion can find something more about this.
As a workaround, can you open the file named “yame64.xml” inside the yame/config folder with notepad (not with a text editor that can add markup like bold and italic and stuff, a clean notepad or alike).
Somewhere at the top part you should find something that looks like:<falcon><windowed>true</windowed> <path></path></falcon>
Replace the path line with something like <path>C:\Falcon BMS 4.33 U1</path>. There you can manually define the path to you BMS install. Maybe that will trigger YAME to also read the DTC & keyfile paths and you get YAME working as it should.

here is that section Thanks !!!
<falcon><windowed>true</windowed>
<keyfile>F111.key</keyfile>
<dtcfile>Viper.ini</dtcfile>
<path>C:\Falcon BMS 4.33</path></falcon> -
Sounds like its worth trying. Here’s what is looks like now:
<apps version=“1.2”><ui><pos x=“0” y=“0”><clientonly>true</clientonly></pos></ui>
<falcon><windowed>true</windowed>
<path></path></falcon>
<server refreshrate=“30” port=“53000”><texturehook>true</texturehook>
<keyserver>true</keyserver></server>
<client refreshrate=“30” runserver=“false”><texturehook>false</texturehook>
<server port=“53000” sync=“true”>127.0.0.1</server>
<smoothtextures>true</smoothtextures>
<mipmaptextures>true</mipmaptextures>
<layout>blck50_analog.xml</layout>
<usetouchscreen>true</usetouchscreen></client></apps>I’ll get back to you with results shortly.
Thanks again.

“<clientonly>true</clientonly>” should be set to false then too

No luck. I’m getting “Unable to load configuration file”. Here’s my change.
<apps version=“1.2”><ui><pos x=“0” y=“0”><clientonly>true</clientonly></pos></ui>
<falcon><windowed>true</windowed>
<path>C:\Falcon BMS 4.33</path></falcon>

<keyserver>true</keyserver></server>
<client refreshrate=“30” runserver=“false”><texturehook>false</texturehook>
<server port=“53000” sync=“true”>127.0.0.1</server>
<smoothtextures>true</smoothtextures>
<mipmaptextures>true</mipmaptextures>
<layout>blck50_analog.xml</layout>
<usetouchscreen>true</usetouchscreen></client>
<app index=“0”><name>Falcon BMS</name>
<path>C:\Falcon BMS 4.33</path>
<commandline>“C:\Falcon 4.33\Launcher.exe” -window</commandline>
<batchrun delay=“”>false</batchrun></app></apps> -
No luck either with setting client only to “false”.
-
Yippee Kayee. I got it working. I reverted back to the original YAME Config file BUT, changed the client only from true to “FALSE”. And Voila. I’ll get back to you to keep you updated on whether its a true fix.
Thanks again - a bunch.

Hi Focaldesign:
Every thing is available in the extraction and globals tabs. Now, a lot of work ahead using this fantastic product along with ICE’s layouts. You guys are the best. Tell Roccio he’s in my thoughts and, to get well and come back soon.
It’s been an adventure.

Hi fjp:
I believe Focaldesign found a fix for our problem. Please read our recent posts for a blow-by-blow. But, as Folcaldesign suggested: Go into YAME’s directory and open YAME64.XML with notepad editor and change the <clientonly>true <clientonly>line from true to “false”. That’s assuming its your problem as well.
Let me know if its fix for you as well. Best of luck.
Mike</clientonly></clientonly>

Hello mikemadmax, can you share your YAME Config file so I can see what you did. Its still not working for me : (
-
I keep getting an error (yame has stopped responding etc,) and it names VCRUNTIME 140.dll
I have replaced it, now it tells me the application cannot start correctly,
This started when I exited the game, and YAME was still minimized. The "stopped responding " error ccame up while it was still minimized, and from that point forward it would never run again. Initially it would act like it had loaded, but remain minimized, and useless - I couldn’t start it or the client - I then reinstalled it (after uninstalling it and all of the folders that it needed.) and that is when the Stopped Responding error began. 10 hours so far and no gain.
Need some more help please,
I7 920 @3.2, 6 gig ram, 660ti, 27 main, 24 Dell touch.
