BMS Product update 3
-
Hi guys, every time I try to load update 3 I get this screen, I used torrent to download the update with no problems. Yet the manage file update tells me I have several corrupt files, But I cannot seem to get these files to uninstall. I’ve dumped the update and re-downloaded update 3 and I still get this screen. How do I get pass this so I can load update 3?
In case the attach. does not show it is in the BMS setup window, Product updates
Corrupt file: “DirectX_Jun2010_redist_2011-04-18.bsf”.
Corrupt file: “4.33_Update_1_Base_Part_1.bsf”.
Corrupt file: “4.33_Update_1_Base_Part_2.bsf”.
Corrupt file: “4.33_Update_1_Base_Part_3.bsf”.
Corrupt file: “4.33_Update_1_Base_Part_4.bsf”.
Corrupt file: “4.33_Update_2_Part_1.bsf”.Is it telling me the base file is corrupt or update 1 is corrupt or update 3 is corrupt? and if so how do I fix this, nothing noticed during game play.

Might be interesting to see a pic of your initial bms setup screen. Also the file sizes should be as in my pic

Hey Cobaltuk here you go
-
md5 checksum for part 3 is f633fbd4f8d40945813bf866453363c9 but your install does not seem to get that far. If it were me i would re build my bms setup from the start one tested update at a time. Have you got the local.ver and setup.cfg files in the folder ?
Some tech savvy person will no doubt have a simple answer soon enough. Anti virus maybe -
Hey Cobaltuk Yes I have both files under DATA entry, so you figure it is the update 3 having the problem then?
-
Delete your existing “Setup folder” and recreate it with “Falcon_BMS_4.33_U1_Setup.zip”
Then apply “Falcon_BMS_4.33_U2_Incremental.exe” & “Falcon_BMS_4.33_U3_Incremental.exe” to the above mentioned extracted setup folder structure.
Then run setup.
Your old setup folder has become corrupted.

Hey Shadow thanks will try that and let you know!
-
Or you could just delete those files, the installer will download them again at next run.
-
Bah nevermind, that works only with dev installers…

Well I tried it all and I had to uninstall 4.33 U1 and reinstall and erase /4.33 U3 from drive. Now it seems to update normally, not sure which download was corrupted but all good now.
