Saitek X-52PRO Profile UPDATED 3-30-12
-
I hope some of you X52PRO users find this profile useful……Enjoy!
BMS HD X52PRO profile based on the BMS keyfile last update 3-22-2012
This profile will only work for the X-52 PRO, If you have the X-52 click HERE
The “BMS HD” profile requires the use of BOTH the .key and .pr0 files in order for it to work properly.
Please make sure you are using the latest Software and Drivers, they can be found here http://www.saitek.com/uk/down/drivers.php
Although it was unneccesary when I tested it, please keep in mind when you place these files into their respective folder for the first time, you may need to go through the setup/controllers menu in the FalconBMS UI and map each of the TMS, DMS, and CMS functions. One of the reasons I chose to switch over to the “BMS.KEY” file is so that I would be able to map directly from the HOTAS to the game thus eliminating problems I was having with proper keypress/release timing. Once you properly assign the TMS and DMS switches they will function EXCACTLY as they are intended.
When using this profile, ensure that the “Clutch Settings” in the MFD Tab of the Saitek Control Panel are both unchecked.
Also, the Rotary 1 should be assigned to the Range Knob in the Falcon BMS UI/Setup/Controllers/Advanced Control under the Avionics Tab.
The Rotary 2 should be assigned to the Antenna Elevation, also in the Falcon BMS UI/Setup/Controllers/Advanced Control under the Avionics Tab.I had to change the TrackIR keybinds so as not to interfere with the “BMS.KEY” function or the IVC Push-To-Talk buttons
You will need to reassign your TrackIR keys as follows…Center = Shift+F1
Pause = Shift+F2
Precision = Shift+F7 -

Fixed another timing issue that wouldn’t allow the airbrakes to close completely.
The mousefire button is now Cursor Enable. Cursor Zero is pinky +mousefire button.
-
I will be adding Trim and Trim Center in the next couple days.
This pr0file is a WIP…. if you have any ideas…please share them.

thanks for your hard work and dedication to getting a working profile working.

@Hard~Deck:
20 downloads later and no feedback?
I’ve found 2-3 problems on my own just today…
I’m no expert with these things guys, so any feedback, good, bad, or otherwise will help us all. (X52Pro users)
I have been soo busy with exams this week that I have yet to try out this profile. Come this weekend I will be sitting down for a long gaming session, at which point I will be able to try and offer some feedback. Thanks for all the hard work, it is really appreciated.

Anytime guys…
Im doing my best in the little spare time I have to identify and correct any bugs and make this profile as complete as possible.
I wish I could post the layout the way Kesmonkey did with his X52 profile thread. He has done a really great job goving people the ability preview it before they decide to download.
Check back here for updates over the next few weeks…I will do my best to have this profile complete ASAP.

Updated 10-1-11
This update requires the use of BOTH the .key and .pr0 files in order for them to work properly.
Although it was unneccesary when I tested it, please keep in mind when you place these files into their respective folder for the first time, you may need to go through the setup/controllers menu in Falcon and map each of the TMS, DMS, and CMS functions. Once you properly assign the TMS, DMS, and CMS switches they will function EXCACTLY as they are intended.
I still haven’t got the Sensor Gain to function to my liking. I will be working on getting that working better soon.
Also, I had to change the TrackIR keybinds so as not to interfere with the “BMS.KEY” functions.
You will need to adjust you TrackIR as follows…Center = F1
Precision = F7
Pause = F2Once again, feedback is much appreciated…Good Luck!

Added HCMS Bright/Dim controls.
Fixed Trim Controls
Still working on Sensor Gain. -
THANKS A LOT MAN!!
I will check it ASAP.
-
I’ve discontinued hosting of the “keystrokes.KEY” download.
-
Did some more work to the Sensor Gain control. Not perfect, but better than it was
I will continue to work at making it better.
Going to add a variable speed, pressure sensitive cursor next….compliments of ANDYMAN. -
@Hard~Deck:
Fixed a timing issue which wouldn’t let the “DMS Down” function switch the SOI.
How have you done this? I would like to do the same workaround with my X45
-
If you are using the BMS.KEY file, just map the hat switches on your stick directly to the key assignments in game. For instance Go in to Falcon setup/controllers, load BMS, then find TMS up in the list, double click it then press the button on your controller.
If ou are using keystrokes, then you have to just play with the timing and pay attention to the order in which they keys are pressed in the Saitek Programming software. If you aren’t sure about timing or the order in which the keys are pressed, then go in game and press the command for DMS down, which, (I think), is Control, then Num2, until your SOI switches from your LMFD to your RMFD. pay close attention to what works and what doesn’t, because it has to be perfect, otherwise it won’t work right. This is one of the main reasons I switched to the BMS.KEY file.
Good Luck!
