You are welcome guys :). Hope you find it useful to develop and port existing theaters to this awesome Falcon sim called BMS :!:.
If anybody has any other feature in mind that would be useful, please let me know.
Ummmm,Ummmm……UNIT Binary’s…HMMMMMMM???
Just Kidding,I know it’s hard,but maybe,JUST maybe the BMS guy’s will help?!?!?!
Then we could throw out all those old tool’s…

Bloody hell that was fast.
Once again Monster, your support is much appreciated. Just a quick one for you. How do you select what tiles you want in the various fields? It only provides “clear” and “paste”, but no “search” button.
Thanks once again
-
Monster,
I also have a possible issue when saving/closing down the program. I think that it is still looking for the old directory for OF.
Even though I have specified BMS directory’s. Check images.Probably something I am doing wrong
-
Hey Naldo, thanks. I’m trying to do my best to keep up
For the first question, you can define the tiles you want from the Tile Palette, just like you are painting on the map. Just click a tile on Tile Palette and paint it to the position you want. Sorry, didn’t have much time to update documentation, I’ll try to do it as soon as possible.
For the other issue, apparently, the program found some registry entries for BMS, found a theater.lst file with some tdf entries, but could not find the appropriate tdf file(s). Maybe you had BMS installed, and then deleted some files afterwards? Anyway, this is only for populating the initial list of theaters automatically. You can still open a theater manually.
Hope it helps.

Hi Monster… Got it thanks.
Some more if you have time
The Tile Lab constantly crashes on me when I go to produce new tile. It creates the first .dds file then dies.
I am using a .dds file to import/ cut up.What do you need to help narrow the issue down matey?
Edit… also crashes when I goto bin editor/replace tile/ select tile/ ctd
-
Yes, there were some problems there with DDS creation. I couldn’t reproduce the error and come to any definite results. It seems I have to go through the module that handles DDS production and review/rewrite it.
Sorry about that… -
rgr that.
Any work-rounds for “replace tile” or “import tile set” ctd?
-
Hopefully the new version I just uploaded will solve your issues Naldo. Please check it out (especially the Tile Lab thing, since if you are editing a BMS theater, adding a tile/set in the BIN won’t create M and L tiles anymore, so for sure it will not CTD) and report any problems.
Thanks.

Hi Monster.
Thanks for the update Creation of .dds files now works great (and very fast) Thanks.
Not tried importing tiles yet as I have a new issue with this version.
Check screen. It is taking the last tile in the set and filling the blank(available) tiles with that image. Were as it used to display a red/white hashed screen.
I believe that it is just a visual issue as when you mouse cursor over it, a display is telling me that it is not being used. -
Well that’s funny because I can not currently reproduce it. But anyway it is just a visual issue as you said, it should be working fine. Check and un-check the “Use tile cache” in the main window, maybe that does something. I’ll look into that anyway…

Hi M8,……;)
Nice update,

Nope that did not solve it, No worries.
Just to update you…. Tile importing works great now, not had any real issue so far.
Only one slight one,Once you have imported a tile set then try to import another set. You get a error window appear saying
“invalid filename”You have to save the BIN file and exit the program. Reload, then it allows you to add another set.
Nothing major, just a heads up.
Once again thanks.

i am very happy Naldo for helping Monster keep walking my friends…
-
Well, I tried and imported two sets in a row without a problem… That’s really strange. It could be the bin file, can you reproduce the errors with the default Korea bin? We’ll sort it out eventually…
@Geraki: I’m happy to see you happy…
@demer: Thanks man, working on units now :munch: -
Weird
OK another way to make it fail is as follows.
Add new set
Select 17 tiles
Recieve error for selecting too many tiles
ok
Add new set
Select 16 tiles
Error window “invalid filename”Also for the missing theater.lst errors I am getting. I now realize that it is only present in my BMS dev installation.
Does the program look at registry keys for its info to files paths etc?
As the dev version uses different keys to the public one. Think this might be causing the conflict. -
Yes it is looking at the registry keys for paths and display the theaters list. Maybe you should try to open the theater manually.

Having a problem Replacing tile’s in TexBin.
Tool will import the correct Tile, but generate’s a Bad 1kb NiteTile.(HdrInvalid in DDSView)
Anyone else running into this???demer
-
Yes I can confirm this, I already found the bug and corrected it, but unfortunately I’m not ready for a release, since I was in the middle of something. Since all you need is an empty night dds, you can just use another one and rename it accordingly.
Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for the heads up.
