rgr that.
Any work-rounds for “replace tile” or “import tile set” ctd?
-
Hopefully the new version I just uploaded will solve your issues Naldo. Please check it out (especially the Tile Lab thing, since if you are editing a BMS theater, adding a tile/set in the BIN won’t create M and L tiles anymore, so for sure it will not CTD) and report any problems.
Thanks.

Hi Monster.
Thanks for the update Creation of .dds files now works great (and very fast) Thanks.
Not tried importing tiles yet as I have a new issue with this version.
Check screen. It is taking the last tile in the set and filling the blank(available) tiles with that image. Were as it used to display a red/white hashed screen.
I believe that it is just a visual issue as when you mouse cursor over it, a display is telling me that it is not being used. -
Well that’s funny because I can not currently reproduce it. But anyway it is just a visual issue as you said, it should be working fine. Check and un-check the “Use tile cache” in the main window, maybe that does something. I’ll look into that anyway…

Hi M8,……;)
Nice update,

Nope that did not solve it, No worries.
Just to update you…. Tile importing works great now, not had any real issue so far.
Only one slight one,Once you have imported a tile set then try to import another set. You get a error window appear saying
“invalid filename”You have to save the BIN file and exit the program. Reload, then it allows you to add another set.
Nothing major, just a heads up.
Once again thanks.

i am very happy Naldo for helping Monster keep walking my friends…

Well, I tried and imported two sets in a row without a problem… That’s really strange. It could be the bin file, can you reproduce the errors with the default Korea bin? We’ll sort it out eventually…
@Geraki: I’m happy to see you happy…
@demer: Thanks man, working on units now :munch: -
Weird
OK another way to make it fail is as follows.
Add new set
Select 17 tiles
Recieve error for selecting too many tiles
ok
Add new set
Select 16 tiles
Error window “invalid filename”Also for the missing theater.lst errors I am getting. I now realize that it is only present in my BMS dev installation.
Does the program look at registry keys for its info to files paths etc?
As the dev version uses different keys to the public one. Think this might be causing the conflict. -
Yes it is looking at the registry keys for paths and display the theaters list. Maybe you should try to open the theater manually.

Having a problem Replacing tile’s in TexBin.
Tool will import the correct Tile, but generate’s a Bad 1kb NiteTile.(HdrInvalid in DDSView)
Anyone else running into this???demer

Yes I can confirm this, I already found the bug and corrected it, but unfortunately I’m not ready for a release, since I was in the middle of something. Since all you need is an empty night dds, you can just use another one and rename it accordingly.
Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for the heads up.

F@##$@$@#$%#$%#%%, I thought I fixed this… I found the error and corrected it. Sorry about it, expect an update soon.
For the Stations+ILS editor, I’m planning on updating the documentation, but for a quick and dirty reference:
Stations+ILS editor will load the stations+ILS.dat file and put all the lines on a list. Since a CampaignID is used in that file, you need to open the te_new.tac for your theater in Objective Lab. If you open Stations+ILS.dat file before you open the te_new.tac, the names of the airbases will be missing (along with advanced features of ILS runway headings), so you need to open the te_new.tac in Objective Lab and hit the Refresh names button.
Double clicking on an entry will open the window to edit this entry and pushing the appropriate buttons on top of the list, will add a new entry or delete the selected one.
In the Edit Station window, you can change the values, while having a visual representation of the runways of the airbase you’re editing. In the ILS region, you see the value of the ILS freq and the runway heading that this entry applies to. Selecting the Show checkbox, will draw an arrow showing the approach direction. All the frequency textboxes will have a green background if the freq is considered correct (according to BMS manual) and red if not.
In the Station+ILS editor window, you can press the Add Missing Airfields button to add blank entries to the end of the list with all the airfields defined in te_new.tac and currently not included in the list. Additionally, you can press the Check for problems button to check for some problems with your list. These problems include:
- Checking if a CampID is an airbase, it exists in te_new.tac or it has double entries in the list.
- Checking for same UHF/VHF frequencies for two airbases (will report it as an error if the airbases are located closer than 60 miles)
- Checking for the same TACAN channel for two airbases (will report it as an error if the airbases are located closer than the sum of the two TACAN ranges)
- Checking for the same ILS freq for two airbases (will report it as an error if the airbases are located closer than 40 miles)
- Checking if a value for ILS is assigned to a runway(taxiway) that is not defined for an airbase.
Pressing the Save button, you’ll have five options:
- Save the dat file you opened.
- Save the dat file with a different name.
- Export data to CSV as you see it in the list (no Runway info)
- Export data to CSV adding the Runway heading in next to each ILS frequency.
- Export data to CSV ready to be formatted and printed as a reference for a theater (different column values)
Let me say that the Stations+ILS editor was added because I wanted to just print a card with a list of the airbases with the U/VHF, TCN and ILS info easily and not having to go through the dat file, copying and pasting numbers. I just added some features, making it easier to edit the dat file.
Hope this helps as a quick reference.
Cheers
