Saitek X-52 Profile

Another minor point…
The Cursor Down key was conflicting with my TrackIR Pause Key (F9). I changed the assignment for pause in TrackIR software. That seems to be the easiest thing to do.
Oh yes, I should update the instructions to mention this. I had long ago remapped my TrackIR keys, so it didn’t occur to me that the default mapping for radar cursor down (F9) would conflict.
Thanks mate for helping me fix the (hopefully) last couple of issues. Much appreciated. -

Thanks to nomis for pointing this out:
With these keyfiles, Radar Cursor control is mapped to the default keys, which are F8 (up), F9 (down), F10 (left), and F11 (right). This may unfortunately cause conflict with your TrackIR keys. Simply remap your TrackIR keys, if needed. -
Many thanks for this. Can’t wait to give it a whirl…

Thank you for a great profile.I have one problem thou.My radar cursor keeps moving to all directions, this could be a result of my hotas being quite old and worn out.
I was just wandering,if it would be possible,to have it being less sensitive.Tried the deadzones in falcon advanced config, but to no awail.
Is the mouse stick configurated inside the game or is it in the axismapping.dat file?
Thank you in advance.LLv_16_Kalles
Edit: Problem solved, added more deadzone to saitek x-52 profiles bands, seem to work now.
Thanks again for a very nice profile.KS

You solved your own problem before I could. Nice.

Thanks to a post by Planehazza in another thread, here’s how you enable the WinAmp controls.
Open falcon bms.cfg, and search for the line set g_bPilotEntertainment 0
Change the 0 to a 1, so that the line reads set g_bPilotEntertainment 1Save your changes, and you’re done!
Thanks Planehazza.

Thanks for the profile. Is there an open key combo, we could assign as a push to talk for teamspeak?
thanks,

thanks,
PacoNo, but you can free up a button fairly easily. I’d recommend unmapping the mouse wheel click (Radar standby & GM radar snowplow toggle), as these functions aren’t found on the real HOTAS anyway. Use wordpad to open whichever keyfile you use (BMS Saitek X-52.key or No TrackIR BMS Saitek X-52.key). You’ll see a list of all the keymappings. Near the bottom of the list, you’ll find the following two lines: SimRadarStandby 31 -1 -2 0 0x0 0 and SimRadarSnowplow 287 -1 -2 0 0x0 0. Delete both of those lines and save. Now, just map the mouse wheel click within TeamSpeak and you’re done.

Thnaks KesMonkey for this profile, which I’ve started using. Most helpful!

How do I change the L mapping from Glance forward to, Look Closer?

After trying for so many times to input your profile I came to the conclusion it’s just useless. It just doesn’t work. I’ve tried in so many different ways to get it going but no success. I really don’t know what’s wrong. Loading your BMS profile to my Saitek profiler doesn’t give anything mapped except 2 functions as far as I remember. I’ve read all the posts here but still no improvement.

The profile works. Many here can confirm that. It might have been only an unfortunate choice of words but “useless” is certainly not a definition that can be applied to this profile.
This profile is for the X52 STANDARD not the PRO (black) version.
What are your saitek software and driver version? I have the latest drivers but just discovered that my SST software is not up to date but using saitek taught me that if everything is working and you will not get new features, don´t upgrade. I saw many, many Saitek users having problems with all sort of stuff after a software update. Should not be like that…but well…not a perfect world.
Also, after re-reading your post…most of the keymappings are NOT done in saitek software. You have to use the provided keyfile for BMS.
If you can, give us a detailed description of what you´re doing and maybe we can help you try to figure out what´s going on there
Cheers!

Thanks again KesMonkey. I had never flown Falcon 4 before , and was getting seriously frustrated creating a profile for this. Once I downloaded your profile, it only took a couple hours to get used to it. Really appreciate it!

Question/Problem - I can get the radar cursor to work perfectly in AA mode. Last couple hours I’ve been training for AG, and the radar cursor doesn’t work in AG mode. The FCR is SOI. Doesn’t make any sense. Any idea what would cause this? Radar cursor works in AA mode, but not AG mode?
Thanks!

Press SP-osb,then tms-up once. That should do it.Use tms-up to lock targets and tms down to unlock.
Thanks again for the profile, works really well for me.KS

Yes, “useless” might be too hard! I meant “useless for me”. I’ve updated only the Saitek Software, not the drivers. I’ll update the drivers and let u know. After uploading the profile into my Saitek profiler do I need to put manually all the keys through Saitek Profile editor? I’m using Saitek X52 non pro version.

No, you need to put the provided key file inside your <falcon bms=“” folder=“”>\user\config folder as per instructions in the first post, load the keyfile using bms setup/controllers option and you should be good to go.</falcon>

Update the drivers. The same! I put the provided key file (BMS Saitek X-52.key) in the config folder. I see them uploaded in the game setup menu. I put the provided Falcon BMS X-52.pr0 file into Saitek profile folder but when I open it with profile editor nothing is mapped on the buttons. I’m using Track IR. Something is wrong and can’t figure out what!
