I hope that TM is seeing these post and paying attention to what’s happening people are paying good money for bad quality and are not happy fix this TM because you are about to loose you market share and good standing in the simm community I think you’re better than this show me and show us.
I thought it was “cute”, naive but cute.
My friend Coco is losing His Saphire R9 390, A month or two over a two year warranty.
It sucks when you can’t afford to replace it. -
@Red:
agreed, there are multiple reasons why this would happen.
One lead is USB power management especially if you’re under win10is there any tips to handle that issue?
-
I think one of your squad mate posted about it on VP on solved his issue
but one solution might not fit all win10 out there … -

Hi there,
well, just today I had the same problem again.
I didn’t change anything to my PC in the meantime. Stick “dead” (although recognized properly by windows, but not accepting any control inputs)
Even the bootload method didn’t work on the throttle. Stick worked just fine.
I wonder what the new problem is. Even after the 1709 update, the throttle worked flawlessly.
Any suggestions?

I would try the stick on another PC first before buying a new one.
I’m new here and not nearly as experienced as most, so… with a grain of salt
The other computer idea helps to isolate the problem, so you can concentrate on the stick or the computer… I’m not sure how often the firmware changes or how significant they are, but maybe try that.
And when everything else fails, I would contact TH anyway (warranty or without). They are likely still the best avenue for repair. I would imagine a lot of shipping and an inexpensive repair?

So… I just got it back from Thrustmaster after they checked the device.
Turns out, I put it in boot mode… so, they reinstalled the firmware.
Just as I was about to take-off during todays event, the stick worked and died all of a sudden on the way down the runway.
I really wonder what the problem is now?
Could it be a dead USB-port? Tried several and the same problem occured after a while.
Should I buy a new stick now?
I am really running out of possibilities here.
-
It could be USB power saving mode. It might have turned on mid game. I’d disable that before buying a new stick.
-
I am pretty sure that I already disabled this quite a while ago.
Even after a complete shutdown and even cutting the power the stick is still dead.
Guess, I just simply have to dump that one and get a replacement stick…
-
So, yeah, Thrustmaster reopened the RMA ticket and now I sent them the throttle and stick again for checking it.
I wonder if they will find anything this time.
-
stay on them.
