Weapon Delivery Planner released

Also, I wonder, what you’d think about adding a more graphical and simpler keyfile generator/extractor to WDP module as a new functionality? In the current situation analysing and creating a keyfile is very much manual work and needs one to be a computer genius. (At least I feel that way…:)) And seeing the key bindings in a more structured way is not possibe in BMS controller setup screen IMO. Doing stg like that will not only help to standardize the keyfiles, also make stick profiling much more simple. Best regards,
I am sorry to say that I do not agree with you here. First of all, there are already key file generation tools.
Keyfiles for BMS can be found everywhere and no need to change anything, except for the keystrokes that might come in the future.
Feel free to use my keystroke if you want: http://www.weapondeliveryplanner.nl/files/other/FalcasAll.key
Changing the keys combination used with a function is done very easily in BMS itself. Just click the key combination so it turns blue. Then hit the combination you want and you are done.
A standardized file is not possible to my opinion. Everybody have a different setup at home, I have a complete cockpit to fly with, others only a joystick. And thus different wishes and different keystrokes…I have been looking at cougar files that other people have made and to my opinion they are made way to complicated. Try to keep it as simple as possible!!! As an example: Why program the gear handle on the joystick? In RL, as in my own cockpit, you have to let go of the throttle to raise the gear. (wow, this could kick off a discussion :D)

Please elaborate, do you mean there’s some sort of a sensor that registers your grip on the throttle? Interesting. This is not to spin off a new discussion but rather find the proper source and references for it.
Thanks,

No, nothing like that. I just wanted to point out that you have to let go of your stick and throttle once in a while to flip switches or raise/lower the gear.Gr Falcas

Good, what a relief. I also like to keep things simple where possible.

Almost a month of coding again, so here is the next update Latest version: 2.6
Have a look over here for the fixes and updates:

For management of the DTC files in MP there has been a big improvement. I’ll write a larger post about what it will do.Enjoy,

Not sure where to report this metadata error?
Kimpo ILS 14R CRS 144 not 136.
BTW would having CRS on the printed datacard help?

Damn magnetic pole… changing very quickly.
Thanks for the heads up. I’ll have a look.BTW would having CRS on the printed datacard help?
Many discussion have gone about this the last years. Space on the datacard is the biggest thing here.
The coarse is the least important. You can fly an approach if you know it is RWY14R. Using 140 as a coarse is close enough.I’ll check the database.

@Falcas question
is it possible to load the ICAO or IATA airport names in the DTC and be viewable in HSD ?
i know that HSD can showing only PPT but can we load them also like yellow names e.g LGSA or CHQ and be viewable in HSD?

Hi,
The new update contains something new for MP game. The goal is to get the correct mission.ini in your Falcon directory. This could be done by hand, but now WDP will take care of this.
Suppose you are about to fly a large MP flight and everything has been planned by the mission planner. The package contains 5 flights and all flights have there own mission.ini file with different PPTs and lines. So you want the humans have the correct mission.ini file. WDP is handling that with this new version by use of the backup of the datacards and file management. The mission planner should zip/rar up the complete mission directory that can be found in \WeaponDeliveryPlanner\Datacards directory.
Example:
Mission Name: KaesongStrike
Package nr: 1234
Flights: Viper1, Cowboy1, Eagle1, Hornet1 and Phyton1Zip the complete KeasongStrike directory.
The zip should now contain all the datacards for the complete package.
Send this file to all player, they should extract it in the \WeaponDeliveryPlanner\Datacards directory and keep the file structure.
Every player starts WDP and uses the “Load Datacard” function. (On the Datacard tab)
Browse to the flight that you are about to join and load the backup of the datacard with the Flight name. (Example: Viper1.bdc)
The backup will be loaded and you will also be asked to load the ini file or not. Do load the ini file as this is the correct one with the data you want.
After loading the backup datacard you will see all the data in the datacard and also the data for the ini is in memory.
Save your DTC and the ini file will be copied to BMS. The same can be used for campaigns. In the backup datacard file is written if the data is saved from a campaign file. When this is the case, the PPTs and Lines are copied to your callsign.ini when you save the DTC.A lot of text, but using it is just a matter of a couple of mouse clicks.
If you have done this once, you see how simple it has become.Enjoy Falcas

Sorry, this will not work with the current BMS code.

Hi,
One of the problems people encounter when using MP in BMS for the first time is the COMMs.
A lot of times one or more players have changed a preset comm frequency and they can’t talk to each other.
Although WDP has always had the “Default, Red and Blue” buttons in the radio section to set all the preset frequencies to there default values, it has not always been immediately clear if or what was wrong.
In the latest update (2.6) WDP will show you which frequency id different than the default.
The following picture shows you how.You can also see the red light beside the “Save DTC” button. This is showing you that the change you did has not been saved to the DTC yet.

142 copy

I have a feeling the Names.ini feature is often overlooked.
Falcas what would you say was the top hidden features of WDP for those that do not read the docs?

Hi Falcas,
First thanks a lot for this beautifull utility
I wonder if you could enhance it by allowing to paste an image in the mission notes, like for example a saved map of a pop up profile?
Another request would be to allow the user to generate a swing check page, like this picture:CHeers,Hatch

The Red Dog Airport Diagram and Approach Plates have 144 listed.
I did find this RWY 14 ILS Approach Plate (Jun 2010) for Gimpo (RKSS) with 143
