Super Hornet cockpit problem

Ok, Soldano, I was just making sure I understood your problem. Yes, the BMS Super Hornet cockpit is a bit wonky on the UFP , and also the SMS page.
Wonky, tearing, blinking just kills realism I’m much happier with the f-18 since I put the f-15 pit in, I wouldn’t know the difference if I hadn’t spent so much time in the Strike Fighters f-18 that had a nice pit.

No, it didnt, the cockpit remained the same, perhaps the problem is not only related to that two *.dat files
May be some texture files should also be replaced, please confirm

Please tell me how did you put the F15 cocpit in the F18, perhaps then I succeed in putting the F18C cocpit at the SuperHornet, which at the moment I couldnt .

At my SuperHornet cocpits all the numbers at the UFC are not centered at their boxes and partially hidden, so frequencies and other settings cannot be configured.
In order to fix that, my intention is to use the F18C cocpit in the Super Hornet F18 E and F, so I copied both .dat files from the 1799 folder to the 1958 and 1959 folders, replacing the originals, but no way, the cocpit is still defective.-
Something I am doing wrong, any ideas ?

As much as I wouldn’t advise it, you could put the F-16 pit with the full framed hud in but that shorts you engine gauges , I got a 16 pit in the f-22 but I don’t fly it much

you can do two things with the super hornet, load it full of AMRAAMS and get BRA calls all day and refuel, this is massive fun, or, load it full of mavericks or conventional bombs and either do some interdiction or some search and destroy.
To add the TGP you gotta edit some files.

My problem isnt the HUD, it is the UFC where the frequencies and numbers are not centered on their spaces or boxes and so partially hidden.-

I think I know what the problem is, I ran into an issue with the Korea80s theater, not to the extent you are having but troubling , do you have that hornet you are having trouble in the stock theater of 4.33, if so, does it have the same problem in the stock theater ???

I have the problem at the Korea KTO theater as also Korea 2012 and its carrier wars.- At the Balkans theater I didnt found Super Hornets

I was hoping you didn’t have a problem in the base part of the game there isn’t anything I can tell you that would help, it’s in the LOD and that’s above my pay grade, I see in the f-15 pit you can’t change the radio freaks, I haven’t got that far in depth in this sim I’m working on basic eye candy, I’m fighting with the F-111 to get some kind of ressemeblment of a pit in it, but I should just fly the f-15e be done with it,.

The DED in the Hornet does not look good since it is adapted from the F-16.
Easiest way to make it readable is to display it in the HUDThe DED DATA – PFL – OFF switch adds DED or PFL data to the bottom part of the HUD as display repeaters.
When the switch is in DED DATA the DED is displayed in the HUD.
When the switch is centred on PFL the Pilot Fault List is displayed on the bottom of the HUD. When the switch is set to OFF neither the DED nor the PFL is displayed on the HUD.Callback : SimHUDDEDDED

Well, bingo, the Super Hornet cockpit is now working OK, I dont know if one of the trials of copying the F18C cockpit at the Super Hornet succeeded, or what, because I made several, but now it works.
The problem remaining is the lack of the AN/ASQ -228 pod, which constantly shows as “out” at the arming screen, so the TGP is not operative for me, any ideas about that ?

Hey alright, have you tried to put a laser guided bomb on to see if it gives you a target pod by default

ThanksBad news: The Super Hornet cockpit problems are present again, I tried in all the theatres I use.- No more F18C cockpits at the Super Hornet.- Really at this stage I am very confused about it.-
Good news: I followed Flow32 advise, to set the DED at the HUD and it works, so I can configure all frequencies and functions there.-
And answering to Yubbas question, I tried the Super Hornet with Laser GBU bombs and the TGP is not operative, I think it needs the AN/ASQ 228 pod, as at the Hornet, which is not avalaible.
